@ShayeGanam I have had problems with my Telus mobility for the last 2 days!

  • bnesbitt716 Super Intelligent Shade of the colour Blue (@bnesbitt716) reported

@drandrewb Yeah just had this discussion when the Telus as popped up. They are crap as a service provider for telecom, why would I want them having anything to do with my health???!??!?

  • parkerjulie22 Julie Parker (@parkerjulie22) reported

@avijustin Time to abolish the CRTC save us lots of tax money, open up the competition. Maybe then Rogers, Telus and Bell will provide better service!

  • Jenoco1 Jenoco 🇨🇦 🇺🇦 (@Jenoco1) reported

@Linda11119465 @strategywoman There were some Twitter jokes but it's very serious when the outage affects emergency services, interac payments, border crossings, etc., across the country. Even taxis/Uber weren't functioning properly. Luckily we have Telus internet and landline.

  • TheYungCatholic Yung Catholic 🇻🇦🍁 (@TheYungCatholic) reported

@pressFToTweet @DIorioNathaniel Yeah the obvious solution is both/and. Ontario should have its own version of SaskTel AND the market should be opened up to non-Bell/Rogers/Telus players at the same time.

  • MarkShaw24 Mark Shaw (@MarkShaw24) reported

@StrategicThghts @Rogers @TransLink In the late 1990’s Rogers transferred their internet and TV customers to Shaw. In 2000 I switched my mobility service to Telus. 22 years later and Rogers is still a crummy company. #CRTC

@VivianBercovici Bell also had issues yesterday all afternoon at the very least. Videotron cellular, data and internet worked perfectly. I'm sure that Elon Musk's satellite internet worked fine too. Not sure about Telus

  • CodyDoner hmm (@CodyDoner) reported

@yeahbo1 @OrvilleLloyd @TorontoStar i like this idea...The big 3 (Rogers, Telus, Bell) should be required by law to open there wireless networks for roaming if one goes down. Even at a set small fee. Companies like Interac should be required to have contingency plans and not rely on one provider.

I'm sure Bell is glad to own (what is now admittedly an extremely minimal) the remainer of the payphone network across Canada. I'm also positive that many used it yesterday for some very important calls. #bell #payphones #telus
