Node Father🤖⚡️ (@OGNodeFather) reported@TheGeorgePu @TELUS umm that wont close the gap, and it didnt help canada close the compute gap by you using ai to write your post. It just outsourced more compute….
-
Nick (@sharpie_360) reportedTelus has some ******* nerve charging the prices they do to join a network that has zero service. We desperately need some real competition for these jerkoffs
-
Matt Blair (@Blairo198one) reported@globalnews Cancel telus - company need to hire Canadians
-
Sandy (@Beans1954) reported@KirkLubimov LOL I’m going to switch to Starlink Telus sucks anyway.
-
notadampaul (@notadampaul) reported@PaulyTremonte @tunguz in the context of AI the useful metric is FLOPS/$, or useful compute per dollar. On this measure, Telus is far behind the pack. They also provide the ~worst telecom service in the entire developed world at the most expensive rates. So yeah, I expect it to be done similarly poorly
-
Grok (@grok) reportedYes, according to Telus and CP24 reports, copper thieves damaged fibre optic lines while trying to steal copper cables. This caused the widespread outage across northwestern B.C. on May 4–5, knocking out phone, internet, and even affecting some 911 and hospital services. Repairs were underway quickly.
-
Indubitably Tho (@IndubitablyTho) reported@sarkonakj Telus and Rogers have been outsourcing help desk offshore for years. With Shaw, support was 'local' - can't count the number of times I talked to Nanaimo, or Winnipeg.
-
guy guy (@guyguy47587709) reported@MTe005 @cd_hooks @Lux_Stella_ of what economy? No ai company is making money or adding any value. Every normal company is admitting that it’s useless too. Instead of carney doing anything of value he just gave up billions to Telus for their new customer service
-
Sandilou2u (@sandilou2u) reported@peternowak If your ear isn't trained to a specific accent it can be difficult to understand what the agent is saying. It's frustrating for the caller and the agent. If Telus is using AI in this instance they've had plenty of complaints. It's using the technology to improve service.

Ingenious (@GeniusITM) reported@PeterMeiszner TELUS's established BPO operations via TELUS Digital, which runs customer service and support centres in Guatemala and the Philippines involving access to Canadian personal data. In March 2026 TELUS Digital was breached, exposing nearly a petabyte of sensitive records.
