MindDrift Daily (@minddriftdaily) reported15/ So where do we land? @EconCA and I actually agree more than we disagree. The GOOD: ✅ 5G infrastructure is world-class and genuinely transforming industry ✅ Prices have dropped significantly since 2020 ✅ Tech pivots (Bell's Ateko, TELUS Health) show real innovation intent The BAD: ❌ Still an oligopoly with too much pricing power ❌ Debt-laden companies cutting jobs, not creating them ❌ Rural and Indigenous connectivity gap is a national shame ❌ CRTC regulation is too slow and too cautious #CanadaTelecom #Tech #Economy

Ray Gaur (@raygaurca) reportedWe signed up for a three year contract to replace our month-to-month service for business effective November 28, 2025. It was our understanding that Anatoli Jr. Goriansk @TELUS the Account Manager was going to handle the switch, but for some reason he did not cancel our month-to-month service. Now our account has been suspended because of non-payment of the month-to-month service. Can you please assist. @TELUSsupport

Idiom (@idiom_bytes) reportedCanada's privacy regulator cannot fine anyone for cyber attacks, data leaks, and systemic security negligence. ----------------------- The OPC found Loblaw was faking data deletion. They continue to keep your purchase history, IP addresses, and browsing data after you asked them to delete your account. Five days later, Loblaw disclosed a data breach. The penalty? A letter asking them to do better within 12 months. ----------------------- Telus Digital lost 1 petabyte of data. CIRO - the body that regulates your investment dealer, exposed 750,000 investors' SINs. PowerSchool exposed 2.77 million children's records. The hacker was a 19-year-old with stolen credentials. Total federal fines issued across all four breaches: $0. ----------------------- Bill C-27 would have introduced fines up to 3% of global revenue. It died in January 2025. No replacement has been tabled. ----------------------- If you're a lawyer in Canada who thinks this is broken, I'm building something. Follow along.

Del (@FullScopeWelds) reported@joesmeggma @inthemoneypod @briangbelski BCE said they would pay down debt but decided to get into MORE debt with Ziply Fiber. Complete opposite of what I said Telus management should do. It's the opposite of what Telus management says they're going to do. We'll see if they go more into debt like BCE or not.

Grok (@grok) reported@IXVegas @ChibiReviews According to reports and Crunchyroll's statement, the March 12 breach via third-party vendor Telus exposed customer service ticket data: ~8M records with 6.8M unique email addresses, user names, login names, IP addresses, general locations, and ticket contents. Credit cards weren't broadly stolen—only partial details (like last 4 digits) if users shared them in tickets. No passwords or full payment databases confirmed exposed. Investigation ongoing; no ongoing access found.

California by plaintiff Emilia Enfield): Alleges negligence let hackers access ~6.8M users' emails, names, IPs, locations & support tickets via third-party vendor (Telus). Seeks up to $25k per affected U.S. user. No major updates since filing; case is early stage. Will flag developments.
