I believe it's related to either traffic congestion on their cell towers, or some other underlying network issue. From my phone I have a hard time getting any response from the Telus default gateway, which would then explain the lack of service. Why does it have to be this way?

@mgamble @mediamorphis The short answer is yes. Telus has had a similar practice for years (they call it "video optimization"). This is the trouble with "ex post" (i.e. complaint-based) rulemaking favoured by the #CRTC. The practice is wrong, but who will take the time to file a formal complaint?

@TELUSsupport almost 6 years of issues .. many visits from Telus. Its this its that .. Tv loses connectivity at least 4 times a day . .. we gave up calling.

@CalgaryResponse @joshyyc @TELUS You are correct Telus Sky as office at base and residential above. The problem is new buildings rarely have cheap rents office or residential unless subsidized. Old buildings are key to start ups for all types of business retail restaurants office etc.

The Telus technician was by today to set up our internet. It was out of control and he was going to do dumb **** like drill unnecessary holes. I was there watching him to prevent him from doing damage. He dropped his electrical tape on his way out. It's mine now for the headache.

@jimg674 Yeah I agree there is clearly a problem right now and it’s not going to get any better without new solutions. More profits for Telus or Shoppers/Blahblahs/whoever isn’t the answer though.

Had to take matters into my own hands and talked to customer service it was scary, we got the internet back tho 😼 and the payment was late since october and our telus account actually got suspended 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
