Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Jean-François Mezei (@jfmezei) reported@SBishayIRIS @iristel @Quebecor Vidéotron either buys Freedom (at which point it is a facilities based provider and has rights to that spectrum) or Videotron sells it to whomever buys Freedom (Verizon?) at which point the spectrum is owned by someone who has facilities based service in those areas.

Phil. T. (@Corporate18) reported@Videotron Is it normal that my gateway model keeps turning off on its own because of the outage ?

Dwayne Winseck (@mediamorphis) reportedkicked in & delivered modest gains for Canadians. Of course, Rogers might be req'd to spin off Shaw's mobile operations, w/ the most likely suitor for them being Videotron, but Quebecor's track record of maintaining a viable competitive presence outside QC is poor. 6/6

Commissioner Miner (@fanCRTCProfling) reported@krisjoseph @BenKlass I see what u are saying & where coming from, but, yeah I can't ever seeing myself siding with ISED on this if what Bell claims is true. ISED's policy is bad policy. Their fix is worse policy (a fix in secret to benefit their hand picked champ, videotron only). Rotten.

Andy Kaplan-Myrth (@kaplanmyrth) reportedIn Nov 2019, media arms of Bell, Rogers, and Videotron asked the Federal Court to order *themselves* and other ISPs to block unlicensed streaming service GoldTV. Today, @TekSavvyBuzz is taking that case to the Supreme Court of Canada. 🧵👇🏼

Ru55o Gaming (@Ru55o2) reported@SwampyJoe11_SRQ @KatieJStrang NHL got it wrong in Arizona. It was a risk move and didn't pan out. You better believe the Coyotes are going to a much more guaranteed deserving city. I would say KC or Quebec City. Money is on QC city. The videotron arena is spectacular and guaranteed sellout. Poor Yotes fans :(

Logan Foster (@LoganCDN) reportedWoW raiding got cut short for me last night due to some sort of truly horrible internet brain fart from @Videotron that resulted in 5 sec lag and zero ui response in game. Apologies to my guild and our pugs for losing a tank 3 bosses in SoD normal.

Dwayne Winseck (@mediamorphis) reported@fanCRTCProfling Agreed. This is part of what I am pointing to in terms of why Videotron is a poor candidate for a potential spin-off remedy. As I said, Quebecor's track record-in wireless, broadcasting & newspaper publishing--outside QC is poor. That should play a key role in the review, imo.
