Vidéotron Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Wokephobe1 Wokephobe (@Wokephobe1) reported

@dougshields88 @MarksGonePublic It was never in doubt. PKP wanted it for Videotron. When it comes to the Libs, what Quebec wants , Quebec gets.

  • scorpiosteve Steve Williams #BLACKLIVESMATTER (@scorpiosteve) reported

@Bell_Support as 50+ year Bell subscriber I am disappointed that your receivers no longer support Netflix. I called to upgrade to the new Box and was told I have to upgrade my PVR as well. $50. Shipping for each = $100 and I do the installation. @Videotron will perhaps be better

  • BakedGoodsYYC Baked Goods (@BakedGoodsYYC) reported

@gammarayghoul @JeremyAppel1025 @djclimenhaga Videotron does not have the wireline network Shaw does here so without MVNO rules forcing the incumbents to open up their networks your service can only get worse. The cost of new towers is too high w/o a big wln network to tap into to lower fiber build costs

  • fagstein Steve Faguy (@fagstein) reported

Having Videotron expand to Manitoba covers up for the government's failure in the Bell/MTS deal to maintain a fourth wireless provider in that province. Bell sold some MTS customers and spectrum to Xplornet, but Xplornet Mobile shut down last year.

  • btaplatt Brian Platt (@btaplatt) reported

More: ⁃a commitment to invest $5.5 billion dollars to expand 5g coverage and additional network services ⁃and a commitment to invest $1 billion to connect rural, remote and indigenous communities Penalties of up to $200 million on Videotron and $1 billion on Rogers

  • CrazyDanmas Daniel Massicotte 🌎 (@CrazyDanmas) reported

@Videotron I finally solved the problem of HELIX, all I needed was a hammer.

  • fagstein Steve Faguy (@fagstein) reported

As part of the agreement, Videotron/Quebecor must: - Keep Freedom Mobile's pricing, and offer 10% more data, for 5 years - Offer Freedom pricing at "similar" rates to Videotron's offer in Quebec - Extend service to Manitoba (via MVNO) within 3 years, at prices similar to Quebec

  • MannyTerrebonne COLDBLUE (@MannyTerrebonne) reported

@MatthewEvolves umm...the guy owns videotron ? you dont think he wants to have his stuff on his own network eventually ?

  • jonathanallard Jonathan Allard (@jonathanallard) reported

    Videotron is down thread

  • Mark_Goldberg Mark Goldberg (@Mark_Goldberg) reported

.@TD_Canada: "Interesting disclosures by @Quebecor in 2022 Annual Information form" • Cable network covers ~83% of Quebec residences, all able to get 400Mbps; 70% of homes passed could get 1Gbps • DOCSIS 4.0 can deliver up to 10 Gbps down / 6Gbps up @Videotron #CDNtech #CRTC
