And the sad thing is... The only thing that could possibly help things would be the Shaw/Rogers merging being denied, as well as the sale to Videotron... And somehow finding a way to get new independents to be created.. Cuz theres none but Teksavvy now.

@peternowak How will the Minister monitor, report, and enforce violations? What remedies will there be for subscribers? For what period of time are the Minister's orders in effect? What are the consequences if Rogers and Videotron fail to follow the Minister's order?

@mgeist @FP_Champagne Apparently they turned down a higher offer for Wind/Freedom from the original investment firm that started Wind. Seems likely they are intentionally picking Videotron because they know they won't give them real trouble

The #CRTC rulings on Negotiated Agreements call for filing them on the public record. I wonder if the complaint about the Rogers - Videotron agreement is premature, given that until the deal closes, just as a matter of law, does an agreement even exist to be filed? Lawyers? 3/6

@quaid_jennifer How can the Minister signal he will likely approve the deal if Videotron buys Freedom and not know what enforceability mechanisms are required? It would be like a Chief Justice of a Competition Tribunal saying a decision needs to be expedited before he sees all the evidence.

@juycer @Videotron This happened to me when I was living in a place where all the places were piped through a single fiber and you could experience slowdowns at peak usage times. It really sucked tbh because nothing can be done and it's hard to blame them as you don't have proof. Network topology!

@Videotron Yeap, I was connected to 5ghz network, I changed to 2.4 and it’s a little better. I’ve been complaining for a long time, but due to my wife’s name in the contract, when I try to confirm the identity, you guys says that it can’t be confirmed.

And since Videotron is "facilities based" (heh) Videotron will save the day when Rogers goes down, right? RIGHT?

@kaplanmyrth @TekSavvyBuzz He calls on @FP_Champagne to w/hold his decision on the spectrum license transfer to Videotron until the #CRTC rules on TekSavvy undue preference complaint. 2/
