Nervous Climate Optimist

@mgeist @FP_Champagne Apparently they turned down a higher offer for Wind/Freedom from the original investment firm that started Wind. Seems likely they are intentionally picking Videotron because they know they won't give them real trouble

@juycer @Videotron This happened to me when I was living in a place where all the places were piped through a single fiber and you could experience slowdowns at peak usage times. It really sucked tbh because nothing can be done and it's hard to blame them as you don't have proof. Network topology!

@acoyne Do not understand all of this, but one thing I do know is that as a Quebec resident Videotron cell phone service is Not available everywhere in Canada. 4 years ago was told this directly by Videotron .Guess this merger will change that?

@globalnewsto @Francoisgohabs On Nov. 8, the #QMI editor went to meet a Videotron client who had filed a Small Claims lawsuit to threaten her on behalf of #Videotron. If you don't withdraw your complaint, I'll make you lose your job.

@quaid_jennifer How can the Minister signal he will likely approve the deal if Videotron buys Freedom and not know what enforceability mechanisms are required? It would be like a Chief Justice of a Competition Tribunal saying a decision needs to be expedited before he sees all the evidence.

The #CRTC rulings on Negotiated Agreements call for filing them on the public record. I wonder if the complaint about the Rogers - Videotron agreement is premature, given that until the deal closes, just as a matter of law, does an agreement even exist to be filed? Lawyers? 3/6

@Videotron I’m unable to connect to use my wifi. Is there an estimated time for when this outage will be resolved?

@MikeJef52847703 @uproarcapital I’m in Montreal and have been a videotron (QBR) customer for several years and am satisfied. Service interruption/billing issues are rare. If they can replicate their operational success on Freedom then it should be fine. But it also depends on how much west hate QC I guess…

@alexandrepratt Also can we quit with the cable tv whining? It’s over, it’s a dying model of distribution. I’m so sick of people complaining about paying $5 for a streaming service, yet have no issue paying Videotron $75+ per month.
