@DouglasPollitt While I 💯 agree there is a ton of anti-competition stuff, I haven’t been able pin down what says they HAVE TO report scores. Does CBC? Local news? Do newspapers? (it bugs me that OS didn’t prove their case by getting on Cogeco, SaskTel, Videotron etc. Would’ve been faster)

@troybeno @Videotron Day 6 here. I don't even bother calling as it's clear they have no clue when it will be back. I understand there was a storm and all, but for it the issue to persist this long is ridiculous. I'm switching to Bell as soon as I can get someone on the phone to cancel.

@Videotron Hi, That's not in my property, I'm only trying to help you. If Videotron wants to get emergency calls and unhappy customers once it breaks, it's your own decision.

Based on the #CRTC rules in regards to the outage reports, and the fact the no one else filled an outage report, we can conclude Bell actually own Rogers, Freedom and Videotron, or they just buy access from Bell which, per the rules, is allowed to be hidden.

@Videotron Hello, I still don't have access to the internet. Is it possible to tell me if the problem is at my place or part of a bigger outage please?

@Bryson_M @BenKlass @MersereauMichel +1 to this pt. The Tribunal put great weight on how competitive backhaul markets were & how that would underpin the success of Videotron as a replacement for Freedom Mobile & even as a new rival for bundled ISP & TV services. All w/ no public data to support the claim.

Cllr Ainslie asks why not emulate the model in Montreal? In 2013, Bell, Rogers, Telus and Quebec-based Videotron invested equally in a $50-million project to bring cell service to Montreal’s Metro.
