Andrew Kelly (@andrewkelly) reported from Kawartha Lakes, OntarioToday I had to work tethering off my phone because @Bell pushed an update to their modem. The internet is so bad in Bolsover along the Trent Severn - Bell’s own hardware couldn’t support it. When I asked what could be down I was given 3 options from @Bell_Support.

Andrew Kelly (@andrewkelly) reported from Kawartha Lakes, Ontario@Bell @Bell_Support 1. We just wait. Apparently some folks in the area are marked as getting a change in service. The address they gave me? An abandoned farm across the road. They couldn’t say what the change was so I could ultimately be waiting just for the farm to be activated again.

Andrew Kelly (@andrewkelly) reported from Kawartha Lakes, Ontario@Bell @Bell_Support Option 2 was that we buy ANOTHER internet line to come to the house. That way we could pay close to $200 a month just for 5mbsp speeds - but that still doesn’t solve the speed, inconsistency or reliability issues It just means the internet in the house is divided between devices

Jared Thomson (@ThirstOfJuly) reported@Bell I’ve had this service for 5 years. It’s actually as advertised for basic. I do pay $29 for the premium and sports but it’s still half the price. Fine print, you can only use 2 devices at a time. The no “cable box” was the big win; most new TVs and mobile devices have th app.
