@vercasso @TekSavvyBuzz @Bell So you want to break up a cartel but you go after only one of the big guys because of an unrelated issue... Ok, make sense.

@arakwar87 @TekSavvyBuzz @Bell Here in Montreal I have Rogers, Telus and Vidéotron that all supposedly compete for clients. They all mostly have their own network. I can switch from one to the other. Where are the protected regions?

@TekSavvyBuzz @Bell The CRTC is but another cartel to limit competition in Canada for the benefit of its members and at the expense of Canadians. Canadians however continue to support these marketing boards as if they were there for their protection.

@Simmsation Oh man @rogers and @bell RUINED watching hockey. Bell and their “let’s talk” (then firing the majority of their staff less than a month later) and Rogers fake corporate virtual signal woke fest... I just want to watch hockey FFS!!!

@Bell_Support You need to try harder to support your customers especially business customers who pay a lot of money for services that dont work. "Sorry we cant help you but can have someone call" is not helpful. Youre a company that provides online services & should provide 24/7 online support

@TekSavvyBuzz @Bell @TELUS is charging us over $200/ month for optic tv & internet service. The outrageous thing, we pay for 25 mbps download/upload. We barely get 8.5... wifi barely reaches out if the room where my modem is. Put boosters in, still absolutely crap speed. Very unimpressed

@TekSavvyBuzz @Bell We held Rogers responsible for their inability to provide us with reliable internet/phone/tv service and for almost a year, we didn't have to pay them, until they finally agreed to repair our line. Turns out our entire building was flapping. Took 'em over a year to fix the issue.

@efortin76 @TekSavvyBuzz @Bell Oh yes, I 100% agree with this. We can’t blame companies that lobby a broken system in their favor. We have to fix the system first. Then if they try to cheat it we can blame them.

@yyzMYA @TekSavvyBuzz @Bell I fought with bell for months until an honest agent told me this. Providers promise top speed to the house, what happens inside is not their problem except to upsell and sell silly gadgets that promise more speed. +/- 24$/50ft at Amazon don't buy the overpriced ones at best Buy
-
Mediterranean Immigrant
(@wmadxyn) reported
@yyzMYA @TekSavvyBuzz @Bell Bell promises service to the house, inside, using wifi service deteriorates. I bought the 1 gig package and got around 100mbps but I've cabled the modem to laptops and now I get around 900mbps. So my advice: cable your main machines for school or work.

@TekSavvyBuzz @Bell It's simple don't do Microsoft don't do bad what you might want to own by AT&t but look what happens in Tennessee there's a boom and don't do Rogers we could have a beruit moment in the big fig newton in between White Rock don't play that that's where the trans istors are

@TekSavvyBuzz @Bell Canada needs to split Telco infrastructure (both wireline and wireless) from the ISP's. The infrastructure providers would treat every provider the same. It worked in the UK to bring prices down and competition up.

@TekSavvyBuzz @Bell Indeed. It's too bad your services aren't offered everywhere, not your fault but I recommended to a coworker who moved to Ottawa and she unfortunately had to go with a service who made a monopoly deal with her condo! Sneaky sneaky...

Just to let you know how my Saturday is going: @RogersHelps came to install internet; their tech said it can’t be done and I should go with @Bell_Support instead. So now I’ve been on hold for 2 hours trying to cancel the account that I never got to use. Um, how is this legal?

@arakwar87 @TekSavvyBuzz @Bell It's true that outside of big cities it sucks. Well it sucks in big cities too. And my point is that it's not Bell's fault. It's the system as a whole. So that's what should be attacked. Not a single player.
