🧵5/6 This is what passes for support when there is no meaningful competition. My only alternative locally is Bell’s DSL at 50 Mbps, compared to my current 1000 Mbps service—an unacceptable downgrade. All other ISPs in the area rely on Cogeco’s infrastructure.

@JackDan110 @Rogers Funny enough, this also happens in @cogeco service areas where Rogers can only offer mobile service…. Is it possible these are freelancers chasing sign ups?

🧵2/6 My internet service was stable for years. The problems began immediately after Cogeco’s technician installed service for my neighbour, who is also with OXIO. Since then, I have experienced constant outages—each requiring a manual modem reboot to restore connectivity.

So Bell, Cogeco, Videotron and CNOC wanted a cartel where everyone must be paying CNOC members to wholesale internet at affordable rates. **** CNOC. For Bell Cogeco, Rogers & Videotron to push this, they sure as hell want protection from another bundle player. No denying that.

Damn I'm all confused, Email from Cogeco's law firm says: -Here is our Notice of Appearance. -Another Email saying disregard the Notice of Appearance, We'll be re-serving a corrected version. -Another Email saying "Disregard. -And another saying CNOC intends to participate.
