Cogeco Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • SwanBoatSteve Steve Munro (@SwanBoatSteve) reported

@iamdavidmiller Toronto Hydro started to created a municipal network, but this was sold to Cogeco because the city needed some quick cash.

  • ecosocialism1 Ian Angus / Climate & Capitalism (@ecosocialism1) reported

@cogecohelps @cogeco Thank you. But why was Cogeco unable to keep customers informed during the repeated outages? A simple Tweet would have made life much easier for your customers. Even better: why not change your phone greeting to say "We are currently experiencing service problems in you area."

  • Liannabelle88 Liannabelle FYMM (@Liannabelle88) reported

@startca My WiFi has been unaffected through this (over cogeco) but now it's out? Is there a new outage as this isn't related to the Rogers issue.

  • saypoptics ✧ juni! ✧ (@saypoptics) reported

@yaepotchi FRRR whenever my internet goes down (cogeco) i can still listen to spotify so i dont go insane JDHFJ

  • KevinHenahan Kevin Henahan (@KevinHenahan) reported

@AboutRogers The evening of the service outage, I received my Rogers bill for cellphone and data. The bill came by email. Fortunately, or unfortunately, my home internet provider is Cogeco, so I had internet. Hope your merger with Shaw goes through ok. Vote yourself a big bonus if it does.

@cogecohelps @cogeco @BellFibe My postal code is K8N1P8 Bridge St E Belleville. They told me not sure why...technician will look at it in a few HOURS. In the meantime...no service AGAIN 🙄

  • SwanBoatSteve Steve Munro (@SwanBoatSteve) reported

@iamdavidmiller One problem that arose from the transfer to Cogeco was that TDSB had a lot of problems with right of way clearances and pole attachments that would have been no problem for hydro.

  • jackgo2 Jackgo (@jackgo2) reported

@theJagmeetSingh @Fifth_Business My service didn’t go out, I have cogeco, we need competition, we need lower prices, not monopolies.

  • J5Jan Jan 🇨🇦 (@J5Jan) reported

@David_Moscrop All of the above plus @cogeco @cogecohelps since my service is out AGAIN!!

  • JoseDominio Joe Dominion (@JoseDominio) reported

@mat_schmaltz Capitalism is the reason why the problem was not worse than it was: there were still lots of other options available because private companies made it so. Millions of people weren't affected by Rogers outage at all, because they were on Shaw, Telus, Cogeco, Videotron, etc.
