@CBCNews I have been with Roger's for 6 months now because they are all that is available where I live. I have a really good rate for internet compared to Bell and Cogeco and there customer service is not worse or better than any other company.

@AlbertaLeonidas Bad news for competition in Canada. Rogers has not been doing well, Shaw has outperformed. Rogers set on acquiring to improve their balance sheet. They failed to take over Cogeco, Shaw should decline as well.

@the905guy @cogeco You have to commend the person for their honesty. I once tried to get a faster Internet package and the person told me what I had is sufficient for the # of devices I am running. You have your issues sometimes cogeco but most times pretty good

@TheDividendGuy Rogers failed on their Cogeco takeover but looks like the Shaws are willing to sell. Jim Shaw died 2 years ago and perhaps the family business motivation with him. I am a Shaw customer but don't own the stock.

@67Dodge Cogeco turned them down, only makes sense to look elsewhere to me. As others have stated, rumours had been around for years of this merger.
