Cogeco Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Mark_Goldberg Mark Goldberg (@Mark_Goldberg) reported

@tedwoodhead @cogeco @MBDan7 People seem to think these #CRTC labels will fix rural fixed wireless. How? If there is a competitor, people would switch - but there usually isn't a competitor. So, it ultimately comes down to spectrum, towers, economics. Everyone wants 5-bars, but they don't want new towers

  • Mark_Goldberg Mark Goldberg (@Mark_Goldberg) reported

@tedwoodhead @cogeco About #CRTC nutrition labels: MP @MBDan7 said this morning that customers are frustrated with rural fixed wireless speeds, reliability. That doesn't get fixed by labels. It takes infrastructure investment. Need to stop doing stupid stuff that gets in the way of capital spending

  • fanCRTCProfling Commissioner Miner (@fanCRTCProfling) reported

Cogeco clearly stated they collect congestion data at each and every node as part of proper network planning #CRTC. And this is what I said, this data should be on their website when a customer looks up their address, in real time.

@cogeco I should be able to cancel my services without having to speak to someone in retention, right from the website.

  • BMystyk Scarlett Bob 🧬🇨🇦♂️. (@BMystyk) reported

@cogeco It would be nice if there was a place on the website where I could cancel my services or terminate the services and not have to move it.

  • fanCRTCProfling Commissioner Miner (@fanCRTCProfling) reported

@tedwoodhead @cogeco If over-subscription/congestion data was available per node, I'd look at it, if trouble-shooting an issue or helping someone with an issue or helping someone decide on a TSP. There's bad apples out there. Some rural areas are bad. Shows if they invested properly.

  • fanCRTCProfling Commissioner Miner (@fanCRTCProfling) reported

@tedwoodhead @cogeco Had to run out mid-way during Cogeco. They aren't wrong... but, they are paying the price for the other bad actors out there. Rogers, Telus and some resellers aren't exactly customer friendly and do screw people. Everyone pays the price for the bad apples.

  • tedwoodhead Ted Woodhead (he/him) (@tedwoodhead) reported

Commissioner Abramson asks @cogeco whether nutrition labels are actually useful? He says some consumer groups say they would be useful to consumers. If anyone spent time with front line team members they would conclude not a single customer ever seeks a nutrition label. Not one.

  • Timeforteatwo Matt Slowikowski (@Timeforteatwo) reported

@dmacpher Recent upgrades to rural fiber in my area - moved from WCCT (a local thing) to Cogeco + bell. Never had Starlink even though many of my neighbors swore by it.

@cogecohelps is cogeco down in Milton?
