Cogeco Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • SwanBoatSteve Steve Munro (@SwanBoatSteve) reported

@iamdavidmiller One problem that arose from the transfer to Cogeco was that TDSB had a lot of problems with right of way clearances and pole attachments that would have been no problem for hydro.

  • JoseDominio Joe Dominion (@JoseDominio) reported

@mat_schmaltz Capitalism is the reason why the problem was not worse than it was: there were still lots of other options available because private companies made it so. Millions of people weren't affected by Rogers outage at all, because they were on Shaw, Telus, Cogeco, Videotron, etc.

  • boileaupa Philippe Boileau 🇲🇶 (@boileaupa) reported

@nspector4 Videotron will go national. They are not as good as Cogeco in customer service but they are way way better than Rogers and Bell.

  • ecosocialism1 Ian Angus / Climate & Capitalism (@ecosocialism1) reported

@cogecohelps @cogeco Thank you. But why was Cogeco unable to keep customers informed during the repeated outages? A simple Tweet would have made life much easier for your customers. Even better: why not change your phone greeting to say "We are currently experiencing service problems in you area."

  • communistto michael (@communistto) reported

@meganysta @TekSavvyBuzz I wrote my major paper on internet infrastructure and inequity in access 13 years ago and I think it is more important now. Toronto owned and could have extended a robust wifi network in the 2000s but sold it to Cogeco.

@yaepotchi FRFR .. . as bad as cogeco is im GLAD im on it rn FJDHFHDJ

  • FletcherSpencer Spencer Fletcher (@FletcherSpencer) reported

@RogersHelps So your **** up is going people scammed now. Amazing can't wait for you to take $5 of my bill. I'm talking Bell and Cogeco tomorrow to see what they have to offer me. Anything is better the Rogers at the moment.

  • BarkMagnet Bark Magnet (@BarkMagnet) reported

@cogecohelps Cogeco is having DHCP problems. I hope this isn’t a router issue like Rogers had!

  • ScaniGryph Scani, fast birdcat (@ScaniGryph) reported

@DrWildlife TekSavvy basically has their hands tied because they don't own their own infrastructure. We've had enough of the Cogeco service that they rely upon here, and are going to swapping away from them this coming week.

  • addp99 addp99 (@addp99) reported

@Zoe34006277 @RelaxingPhrog Definitely not stabilizing today imo, might just have to switch to Bell or Cogeco if this issue persists.
