@westi3mom @WayneBHay @cogeco As they shouldn't be responsible, it's not them that caused the outage. Accidents happen, I'm sure it'll be back and you can all resume living life again.

  • DaGimp13 Nicholas Gerrier (@DaGimp13) reported

@cogecohelps @libraryzombie I've traced it as a DNS issue on Cogeco's end... if you change the adapter settings in Windows 10 for DNS to 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.8.4, it'll work

  • pink_pixie_glow Crystal M (@pink_pixie_glow) reported

@Gogomusicgo @Carminevittori5 @cogeco I do. We are doing other activities. Freaking out isn't going to solve the issue. Many people are affected for various reasons, but we aren't in control of this situation. It happens. It'll get fixed and we can all carry on.

@cogeco Down for two hours and counting in Halton.

  • rj_tweety rj_tweety (@rj_tweety) reported

@cogecohelps how come the school board can notify of the outage before Cogeco notifies customers? Why doesn't your status page load? Maybe consider a cloud service to serve that up not on your network.

  • jeremychobbs Jeremy Hobbs (@jeremychobbs) reported

@cogeco My cogeco internet went down, changed my DNS in my router to 8.8.8.8 and it's been fine since

  • StFXHammond St. Francis Xavier Hammond (@StFXHammond) reported

We understand that some students and families may be having difficulty connecting to remote learning this morning due to a widespread Internet outage affecting some regional Internet service providers, including Cogeco. Please be patient as these issues are being resolved.

  • LaGourmandesse Megan E (@LaGourmandesse) reported

@MIHomeYGK It's a DNS failure...Manually set your wifi's DNS to Google's public DNS at 8.8.8.8 and you'll be back in business until @cogeco sorts out their DNS issue. #ygk
