Not only did my internet appear to go down about an hour ago, but @cogeco ‘s website is also unreachable and the toll free number hasn’t been working either. Halton Hills is experiencing an outage.

We understand that some students and families may be having difficulty connecting to remote learning this morning due to a widespread Internet outage affecting Cogeco, Bell & Rogers and other supplier customers. Please be patient as they work to resolve these issues.

Cogeco is currently experiencing residential service interruptions throughout Ontario. If you are a Cogeco subscriber, this means that students in your home may not be able to access their Google classrooms. Cogeco is trying to resolve the issue.

@cogeco changing DNS to 8.8.8.8 in the router settings brings the internet back. Folks, go to your router settings. Find Primary DNS and type 8.8.8.8 for primary and 8.8.4.4 for secondary. Save and restart the router Cogeco: your dns servers are down

Cogeco is having a DNS issue if you don't have internet change your DNS servers to googles in your router page and you will be good to go till they fix it. 8.8.8.8 primary 8.8.4.4 secondary

@zbpipe @LMcAnanama @cogeco "It has come to IT's attention that Cogeco Internet Service is experiencing a full outage. This is impacting users throughout Ontario. All KPR systems are functioning and fully available. Any student or teacher relying on Cogeco service will be offline until the issue resolves."
