Cogeco Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

@constanzapool @cogeco No extra cost. Think of it like using Google's "phonebook" to translate addresses rather than Cogeco's. When the outage is resolved, I would switch it back to the previous state but there's also no harm in continuing to use Google's DNS servers (or any other DNS servers).

  • PatrickWMcGuire Patrick McGuire (@PatrickWMcGuire) reported

@BobsFavDaughter @cogeco Not working in Burlington and out to Windsor as well.

  • merritt_ps WilliamHamiltonMerrittPS (@merritt_ps) reported

Attention WHM families. There is an internet outage with Cogeco if that is your provider.

  • Lina_Buns Lina🦄🐱 (@Lina_Buns) reported

@cogeco Another fix: if you have a VPN, turn it on.

  • FitchSchool Fitch Street School (@FitchSchool) reported

Cogeco internet is down at the moment. Our teachers are aware; so please do not worry. Hopefully there will be a fix soon.

  • candicebutler_ Candice 🖤 (@candicebutler_) reported

Good thing I pay for such top notch service @cogeco that my kid can't access his class online when the province decides to shut down again. Cool !

  • EastwoodEagles Eastwood Eagles (@EastwoodEagles) reported

We understand there is a major Internet outage affecting Cogeco and possibly other supplier customers, which is affecting some staff, students and families from connecting to remote learning. We apologize for this inconvenience. Please try connecting throughout the afternoon.

  • BenjimanPower Benjiman Power (@BenjimanPower) reported

@cogeco The issue appears to be related to DNS servers - if you set your DNS servers to Google's Public DNS your service may work. DNS server: 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4

  • iwowall waqar (@iwowall) reported

@cogecohelps Wow he least cogeco could do to inform in advance . All the online classes people working from home trying to reboot. No communication none should we continue to be customer?

@toddycoupe @neverfever @outagedetect I had to do it in my modem/router since my mesh WiFi was failing with the broken DNS. If you're using the Cogeco WiFi you should be able to set on either laptop or router.
