@cogeco I believe you guys should make a GLOBAL DNS changing system because you guys know it would of course not be hard to install since the router is running though cable setup anyways there for meaning you could send a global updated meaning whenever severs go down we have a DNS chang

Probably another bad day to be working in Cogeco cx service. Be nice folks, the people manning those channels are trying to be helpful, it's not THEIR fault your internet is down.

@610CKTB Change your DNS setting to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 and it should get you back up and running. Issue is with Cogeco's DNS server.

@cogecohelps @meSOclevergirl @cogeco Uhh what. You're going to get thousands of phone call and it will tie up your line. What kind of business puts something like onto the customer. The company should be proactive about this consider you can see everyone who's affected. I'll be switching companies in Feburary.

Working from home today and @cogeco goes out about 9:50am. Lots of fire trucks. Issue up the street at a power station (ours is on at the house). @ 10:45 or so. Wife comes home. Power and internet out at her office. If looks could kill when I told her the internet was out...

Change the DNS settings on your Cogeco modem to manual and point DNS1 to 1.1.1.1 and DNS2 to 1.0.0.1. Problem goes away. #CogecoDown #cogecooutage
