  • Outnumbered5_1 Craig (@Outnumbered5_1) reported

@cogeco Since Cogeco probably doesn’t want you doing so, for those that know how, this issue can be resolved by changing your DNS server on your modem/router settings. Google’s DNS server is 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4.

  • JasonGiblen Jason Giblen (@JasonGiblen) reported

@alancross Mine is fine in Streetsville (Rogers). My sons teacher in Burlington (Cogeco) is down.

  • vixxdog Steve Fox (@vixxdog) reported

@cogecohelps @cogeco I finally found a way to reach someone at Cogeco and eventually got transferred into tech support.

  • TJIRISH53 TJIRISH (@TJIRISH53) reported

@cogeco Cogeco management needs to issue an explanation of the source of these outages. Changing DNS seems to be a solution but most people cannot or are uncomfortable doing it. If changing DNS is a solution then why doesn't Cogeco have this as a back up suggestion or action.1/2

  • vishnunkk vishnu (@vishnunkk) reported

@cogeco Any one having issue , change your DNS server to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4

  • webstrategist Dave Manning (@webstrategist) reported

@HaltonDSB @ONgov If you are having issues with Cogeco (DNS issue) today and earlier this week, a work around is to change the DNS server and backup on your home router to Google's DNS: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
