Probably another bad day to be working in Cogeco cx service. Be nice folks, the people manning those channels are trying to be helpful, it's not THEIR fault your internet is down.

  • webstrategist Dave Manning (@webstrategist) reported

@HaltonDSB @ONgov If you are having issues with Cogeco (DNS issue) today and earlier this week, a work around is to change the DNS server and backup on your home router to Google's DNS: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

@cogeco Sure I get it everyone on line now... but maybe our accounts should be credited bc of no internet service, we pay enough.

  • Jodster99 Jody (@Jodster99) reported

@ShawnyRHarvey @gunner101 @cogeco Oddly, I've been having the opposite results! Same issue but laptop spins and phone works.. (Maybe it's the data plan?) ANYWAY.... hope you get back at it soon enough!

  • Wjr64Bill Bill (@Wjr64Bill) reported

@610CKTB Cogeco is the worst internet supplier I’ve ever had. We also have numerous short outages on the regular our here in Niagara region. They’re also quite expensive, definitely not worth what we’re paying.

  • ImToreos chris toreos (@ImToreos) reported

Internet is back for now. If this issue is not "ACTUALLY FIXED" as per what Cogeco has said, i'll 100% be leaving this company in the dirt.

  • Technoweenie1 Bryan Biller (@Technoweenie1) reported

@610CKTB Change your DNS setting to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 and it should get you back up and running. Issue is with Cogeco's DNS server.

  • TimMolyneaux Tim Molyneaux (@TimMolyneaux) reported

If @Sflecce could let @cogeco know that students need to use the internet today, that would be a big help. #wtf @ONT_Dad #onpoli #onted. Can you read sarcasm ?

  • Donald_McKay Donald McKay (@Donald_McKay) reported

@ppreville @Ptbo_Canada @cogeco I have Cogeco as well, was perplexed when my google wifi was working and wired was not. Google wifi uses Google's DNS. Seems like they are using a bad DNS server. If you are on windows try opening command prompt and typing ipconfig/flushdns.
