@cogeco Any ETA for a complete fix? We've been totally without service all day. Postal code K0K.

@b4technology @cogeco I'm sure my network is back up but my network name and password have been reset. Need to find a way to reset my wireless networks

  • Middleaged75 Just another Human!!! (@Middleaged75) reported

@aschwabdotca @cogecohelps @cogeco We have switched our DNS settings from automatic to using manual. Googles dns server is 8.8.8.8. And 8.8.4.4. You can google it for verification. This will allow access to internet again. Can reset back to automatic once Cogeco fixes issue with their DNS server. Hope this helps.

@cogecohelps It just calls out Cogeco doesn't have an incident response plan especially for communication and the status page is useless when it does not function. Banner on your main site should be updated when experiencing a major outage. Please pass along to management. Thx.

  • MarkLegault Mark (@MarkLegault) reported

@RogersHelps @Rogers is the cogeco outage at all related to problems with Rogers? We have been getting connection drops all day and it’s incredibly frustrating

  • IppyTOM TOM IPPOLITO (@IppyTOM) reported

@cogeco I changed the DSN as suggested by others and works now. But quick question: i assume it's a temp fix. When do we know things are normal again and I assume we have to change the numbers back?

  • davidcouvier Dave (@davidcouvier) reported

@lillquiche @cogeco And then when they switch to Bell they'll be affected by their next outage. Do you stop buying a car brand because one day the battery is dead?
