@toddycoupe @neverfever @outagedetect I had to do it in my modem/router since my mesh WiFi was failing with the broken DNS. If you're using the Cogeco WiFi you should be able to set on either laptop or router.

@cogeco Here's how to fix it on Mac: Settings > Network Click on Wi-Fi on the left. Click "Advanced..." on the bottom right. Click DNS at the top. Click the plus sign on the bottom left under "DNS Servers". Type 8.8.8.8 Do it again for 8.8.8.4 "OK" and "Apply"

@cogecohelps switching to another company as soon as this outage comes back and dealing with customer service. Thanks a lot. A days work, gone thanks to cogeco internet and phone provider.

@justincooke182 @cogeco Curious as to why changing the DNS resolves the issue. Does it imply that the issue is not with the internet service, rather it's with Cogeco's DNS gateway? Or do you think they took down their DNS gateway to look into an issue with their service?
