@burlingtondavid Indeed! In my family of 3 - with all of us working at home, the only person in our household who had no Cogeco internet during this province wide outage was me! Spent most of the time trying to figure out why it was me while my family worked without issue. Frustrating.

@justincooke182 @cogeco If DNS is down you could also hard code DNS to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1. COGECO could even temporarily make their DHCP service hand this out automatically avoiding any static entries. We were not affected as we don’t use COGECO for DNS.

@pewpewpew Well from today’s news I’d suggest cogeco! I had teksavvy in stormy creek but I had issues in the end.

@cogeco How do i get my 5g network to appear after resetting?

  • LowCkas LowC-MD-Photog (@LowCkas) reported

@b4technology @cogeco No, I didn't do it. Change DNS servers without knowing what I'm doing? That doesn't sound even close to safe, to me. I would need a lot more info first, so links to that would help, and then I would still likely not.

@SteveCoville I am with Cogeco. Same issue today.

  • SteveCoville Steve Coville (@SteveCoville) reported from Kingston, Ontario

  • wuuyyan MaggieNg (@wuuyyan) reported

@cogecohelps @mommygigi86 @cogeco No, that’s not the problem. I cannot find any wifi signals on my iPhone.

  • torontoballroom National Ballroom (@torontoballroom) reported

@cogeco I was on the chat waiting for over an hour. Why didn’t anybody tell me at the time that there was an issue rather than having me wait for over an hour on the phone

  • SiniGrko Sinisa Grkovic (@SiniGrko) reported

@cogeco Was this caused due to internet traffic overload? Hopefully your taken steps will prevent it from happening again. Were you able to put in place back up plans so that your web page and call center don’t get locked out like they did today during this large outage? Thanks
