Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
@Donald J Tantrum 🍼 (@ZororayiM) reported.@CRTCeng given the dismal failure by .@Rogers aka Robbers to address a countrywide outage (72 hrs and counting just check the tweets on their support handle), will you please step in and prevent the Cogeco merger. We need more not less competition.
-
Constance (@connieinygk) reported@drewtremblay @wtccomm They use Cogeco’s lines. I really like this company. If I need equipment, they’re easy to get to. Service is excellent. Employees are local, not a call centre off shore.
-
Philippe Boileau 🇲🇶 (@boileaupa) reported@nspector4 Videotron will go national. They are not as good as Cogeco in customer service but they are way way better than Rogers and Bell.
-
addp99 (@addp99) reported@Zoe34006277 @RelaxingPhrog Definitely not stabilizing today imo, might just have to switch to Bell or Cogeco if this issue persists.

Jan 🇨🇦 (@J5Jan) reportedHere we go again...another @cogeco outage on my street ugh!! Time to switch to @BellFibe
-
Kevin Henahan (@KevinHenahan) reported@AboutRogers The evening of the service outage, I received my Rogers bill for cellphone and data. The bill came by email. Fortunately, or unfortunately, my home internet provider is Cogeco, so I had internet. Hope your merger with Shaw goes through ok. Vote yourself a big bonus if it does.
-
Steve Munro (@SwanBoatSteve) reported@iamdavidmiller Toronto Hydro started to created a municipal network, but this was sold to Cogeco because the city needed some quick cash.
-
Kevin Menzel (@kevinmenzel) reportedRogers/Bell/Cogeco/Telus do NOT have a monopoly - not even close - on enterprise level, full BGP-tables internet access in Canada. So when critical services go down because someone chose "just Rogers" that was the choice to have a single point of failure.
-
Jackgo (@jackgo2) reported@theJagmeetSingh @Fifth_Business My service didn’t go out, I have cogeco, we need competition, we need lower prices, not monopolies.
-
🦋Jackie🦋 (@MsJTinCanada) reportedI keep getting warnings from Cogeco about interruptions this coming July 12, but so far my network has been okay. It was wonky yesterday morning, but now it's fine.
