@cogeco With such a substantial outage impacting millions, during a pandemic, I think more frequent updates would be appropriate

@cogeco My connection was still live with nothing resolving, so I tried the dns swap as others mentioned. I used Cloudflare with Google as secondary on my internal router. Up and going. Hopefully they fix the problem soon.

The Ontario Cogeco outage today accentuates what we already know: lockdowns continue to benefit the rich and leave ordinary people behind. Big box stores open. Small businesses closed. School for those who can afford top-of-the-line Internet. And no school for those who cannot.

@carol_nasvytis @CBCAlerts @cogecohelps Can you login to your cogeco modem? If so you click on connections and wan then edit then where it says primary dns you click manual and enter 8.8.8.8 then where it says secondary dns set it to 8.8.8.4 then save. It will restart your modem then you will have access again

@RickeyArmy_1 @westi3mom @cogeco Don't enjoy paying for something I can't get... Went for a stretch last year when it was down every day for 2 weeks, hours at a time. Is that a "normal" outage?

@Carminevittori5 @cogeco I hope that if all the customers pay less money for this hour (more for me cuz it's not back yet), and all the problems that created Cogeco doesn't (by interrupting service) complaint and will b able to survive right.
