@ContrarianTribe The same way the government monopolized the communication industry for the likes of Bell, Shaw, Cogeco & Rogers. The results are always the same... terrible service at unreasonably high prices and no alternatives.

  • blissisking Boo (@blissisking) reported

@cogecohelps why are there so many cogeco cable problems and slow internet in Burlington the last few days

  • benjimonicus mx. mon, benji (@benjimonicus) reported

i hope the cogeco offices burn to the ******* ground and frederic perron gets a colombian necktie. why ******** would you even have a router gui only to advertise your ******* spyware to me. im trying to port forward, why ******** should i need my phone for that.

@cogeco no reports of an outage in my area on your website map but here I am resetting my modem, as are many ppl in this area/city. Buffering all wknd too.

  • daddynorton2 chris martin (@daddynorton2) reported

@cogeco i pay $125 a month for just internet. At that price point I expect no buffering issues. This is a recurring problem

  • mdt546 Malcolm Twizzle 🇨🇦🇺🇸🇮🇱 (@mdt546) reported

“We had high hopes that this govt would make better decisions for business” roars Fred Perron, CEO of Cogeco. In a fit of petulance he was angered by Joly’s decision to uphold the CRTC devision to force telecom cos to open up their fibre optics network to competitors I am no fan of Joly’s . She’s messed up many a file but this is the right decision. Canadas telecom cos have grown fat and lazy under the current rules and the result they behave like a monopoly and result is Canadians pay higher fees than anywhere else in the world and get poorer service. These fat cats profess love of free market competition but love their protections by big govt. more. My only complaint is that Jolies decision didn’t go far enough - she should allow the big US telecoms up here. Then we’d get some real competition and hear some real whining

Local Tweet…. @cogeco… no service, again. AND no customer service. Does anyone ever answer the phone there…?

  • PeterHRatcliffe Peter Ratcliffe, forever Canadian 🇨🇦 (@PeterHRatcliffe) reported

@Frizz461 Happened to me. You can find a place on tech support pages to reset your modem. I did that and then got on chat with tech support, but by the time they answered the Internet was working. I think it was the reset I did online. Cogeco support sucks.

  • jacksonpollock9 John Farrow (@jacksonpollock9) reported

@steeletalk I cut back to basic cable (Cogeco) no HD, because including it in a package with phone and internet was cheaper than phone and internet alone. I cut ties with Bell for phone because of their ridiculous prices for a landline. But all I watch on network tv is sports.

  • icequeen1371 Danielle Couffon🇨🇦 (@icequeen1371) reported

@cogecohelps @cogeco Yes, I reset the modem and service came back about 20 mins later. Thank you for checking in.
