@HaltonDSB @ONgov If you are having issues with Cogeco (DNS issue) today and earlier this week, a work around is to change the DNS server and backup on your home router to Google's DNS: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

  • lynn_timson Cat Jones🇨🇦 (@lynn_timson) reported

Hey @cogeco with the intermittent internet service I’ve had this week, I’m sure you will understand my intermittent payments.

@JanettaHowson @cogeco Relax; this isn't a Cogeco issue. It's affecting Rogers & Bell as well, just like it did on Tuesday.

  • Donald_McKay Donald McKay (@Donald_McKay) reported

@ppreville @Ptbo_Canada @cogeco I have Cogeco as well, was perplexed when my google wifi was working and wired was not. Google wifi uses Google's DNS. Seems like they are using a bad DNS server. If you are on windows try opening command prompt and typing ipconfig/flushdns.

  • GinetteP Ginette Pelletier (@GinetteP) reported

@cogeco Imagine that again Cogeco has issues...2 times in 1 week. Worse worse provider ever

  • jeff_beairsto Jeff Beairsto (@jeff_beairsto) reported

@cogeco Is this a Cogeco issue? Does Bell and Rogers have the same issues?

  • thanksih8it hãññãh 🎬 (@thanksih8it) reported

If anyone is having issues with Cogeco wifi try changing your DNS in your wifi settings to 1.1.1.1 or 1.0.0.1 cause it fixed my family’s problems with it

  • TJIRISH53 TJIRISH (@TJIRISH53) reported

@cogeco Cogeco management needs to issue an explanation of the source of these outages. Changing DNS seems to be a solution but most people cannot or are uncomfortable doing it. If changing DNS is a solution then why doesn't Cogeco have this as a back up suggestion or action.1/2

  • Claddagh_09 MacS (@Claddagh_09) reported

@cogeco Out each day this week after Tuesday’s intermittent issues at around 10 am in Georgetown.
