@AlexandraMazur1 just want to let your readers know. The cogeco internet outage is related to their DNS servers. If they change their dns settings to google's 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4 they will be back online

@Krucifix_ @Levisir11 @cogeco Definitely still down in Hamilton.

  • Sidular Sidular! (@Sidular) reported

@Carminevittori5 @cogeco WHY ARE WE YELLING?! But seriously. Cogeco is a business. If they fail to provide the services their customers are paying for, the customers have every right to be upset and complain. It’s not as if internet is a gift. End of the world? No. But an expectation of service.

@Andrade14Mike @KeeganB63977789 @cogeco Good for you. I'll am salty because I work from home and this is a constant issue. Imagine being on a conference call with a major client during a presentation you are giving and internet drops out? Not fun at all.

@cogeco I get things happen. But ses every 30 days Georgetown goes down. Before it was Bell Canada's fault... Now what...? Added to fact a week I upgraded to Ultra super fast... And since day 1 best performance too date has been 100 mbps. Earliest a tech can come is Friday.

  • Timi_TV_ Timi (@Timi_TV_) reported

@cogecohelps Imagine paying for internet and having to fix the DNS yourself. Big middle finger from cogeco to its customers

  • CobbanMr Mr Cobban (@CobbanMr) reported

So @cogeco is down across the province. Coincidence? Or maybe the system isn't built for millions of households having multiple video calls going all day at the same time... there has to be a better way... #onted

  • geezheeztall Geezheeztall🇨🇦 (@geezheeztall) reported

@cogeco My connection was still live with nothing resolving, so I tried the dns swap as others mentioned. I used Cloudflare with Google as secondary on my internal router. Up and going. Hopefully they fix the problem soon.

Second day of the winter semester remote working/learning and #cogeco internet went down. It's going to be a long year.

@cogeco What we are finding is that although the computers/phones we have connected don’t work, our Amazon device still works. My son is watching YouTube on it. Not connected to our cell data signal.
