@UnrealReilly @merry123459 If Cogeco went down then you'd be affected too. All these bigger telecoms are vulnerable; the smaller ones are b/c they piggyback onto the big ones! That's why yesterday some other carriers were also down b/c they use Rogers network. I'm w Bell but I don't think I'm any safer.

@theJagmeetSingh @Fifth_Business My service didn’t go out, I have cogeco, we need competition, we need lower prices, not monopolies.

@Middleaged75 @CheriDiNovo @Rogers I also have split services. Cogeco for the internet and Rogers for Cell Service.

@Rogers Although my internet service is up, there are still routing issues. I can't reach services on the Cogeco network, on the Hostgator network and parts of the Microsoft network, just to name a few. A complete blunder on Rogers' part.

@juuuubot Depending on where you live, teksavvy might provide service via a different company. In Niagara, teksavvy uses Cogeco infrastructure. I had internet and the outage didn’t affect me.

@drewtremblay @wtccomm They use Cogeco’s lines. I really like this company. If I need equipment, they’re easy to get to. Service is excellent. Employees are local, not a call centre off shore.

@mat_schmaltz Capitalism is the reason why the problem was not worse than it was: there were still lots of other options available because private companies made it so. Millions of people weren't affected by Rogers outage at all, because they were on Shaw, Telus, Cogeco, Videotron, etc.

@SadlyCatless I'm with Cogeco. Super funny though. A Bell agent came by the house trying to win us back yesterday, while Rogers was dying in a ditch somewhere. Too bad Bell lines don't function even on the best of days.
