@JustMeJamie64 @Rogers There was a documentary a while back which companies use AI to change and hide most of their foreign employee's accents. This has been a trend for most big Canadian companies hosting their support in these countries.

    ambam (@ItsReallyAmber) reported

@JustMeJamie64 @Rogers Rogers was one of the last of the big 3 who had all their customer service agents in Canada. Covid hit. Shaw merger happened. Ceo changed and they wanted a bigger profit so they laid off a majority of the Canadian staff in favour of the cheaper labour outside of north america

@jcpwaynesworld @JustMeJamie64 @Rogers Didn't Sam Walton stsrt Walmart start as a..... Ahh, never mind.

@LindsayDunnTV Everything in this country is straight garbage. Thats what happens when you have every telecommunications with only 2 companies. Do better @Rogers @Bell

  • marmisto
    Menna (@marmisto) reported

@JustMeJamie64 @Rogers I called for tech support, talked to a gentleman who spoke decent English with a semi-heavy accent, however the other gentleman in the background weren’t speaking English at all. I asked what all the background noise was and he said he was driving, using a car phone. 😭

  • Airwave_1_
    Wake Turbulence (@Airwave_1_) reported

@ChelseaBeach @JustMeJamie64 @Rogers Acquiring Shaw put Rogers $26B in debt. To cut costs, they quietly scrapped their "100% Canadian" PR pledge, cut domestic support contracts, and pushed call center roles right back overseas to offshore vendors. PR promises don't survive a $26B debt load.

@RogersHelps That reply does not resolve the issue. I have been online and called the appropriate numbers with no success. Your menus do need lead to this option. Please provide a phone number and the appropriate prompts to add my name to your internal do not call list.

@RogersHelps is their a phone number to reach technical support other than 1888ROGERS1?

  • Sky__16__
    Ds (@Sky__16__) reported

@Rogers @RogersHelps 5.5 hours outage while I work from home = real income loss (~$250). Final resolution from Rogers Communications = $2 credit. This doesn’t reflect the real impact.

@JustMeJamie64 @Rogers Yes, exactly. They make millions or billions, but their customer support is often outsourced or centralized, so the person handling your case may not understand the specific local rules, regulations, or problems in your country/province.
