@leckie_sean @oxfordliving @RogersHelps The issue is who approved a global firmware rollout without secondary approval. Or, what was the root cause. Dev/Engineer here as well and this one really has me wondering what happened. My guess: firmware for another network was pushed to overwrite Rogers Public ID's

@CRTCeng I think @Rogers should either get sued or face some serious financial penalty for the outage. How many lives were at risk today? How many Canadians only have cell phones? If someone had a medical emergency today, they very well may have died not being able to call 911.

@AboutRogers @RogersHelps You’re supposed to test before deploying something new to your production network. Did you skip that step?

@AboutRogers @RogersHelps Thinking of all the Rogers customer service reps that had to put up with a bunch of whiney little babies with first world problems.

@ItsDeanBlundell @CarymaRules @Rogers I see this Chris Sky guy and I really hope that there actually is a microchip in the vaccine. Maybe one that would prevent the rest of the intelligent population from ever becoming as completely ******* stupid as this guy.

@RogersHelps @RogersHelps you should be explaining WHAT happened. And updates every 4 hours is unacceptable. I couldn’t call 911 if I needed to. Is there a data breach we need to worry about? Will people be compensated? Is there an actual ETA it has been well over 12 hrs and still no service

G_tweets (@G_Tweetings) reported
@Rogers what happened to your network today is unacceptable and disappointing. You need to give your customers compensation for this major mistake. I can’t believe I actually paid your company my hard earned money to not get service during a pandemic. Terrible/dangerous Fail.

@RogersHelps I trust you will do the right thing and credit everyone for the entire day you didn’t provide service and not make each of us call in to complain.
