Sounds to me like a foundation for a blackout if Sask rise up against the gov. Know this, We can still deal with Starlink direct and bypass the Crown for now. see 👀👇

Jim Pratt (@JimPrat97487282) reported@bgdoane @SaskTel On a neighbors farm you can see the cell tower 6 miles straight north and they have no service in their yard. It's not going to be long until we all will be using starlink phones and cell towers will go the way of the party line IMO

SaskTel Support (@SaskTelSupport) reportedSaskTel service outage impacting Whitecap Dakota First Nation and other communities May 27, 2026 – SaskTel is currently experiencing a service outage impacting Internet, Wireless, and Landline (SaskTel Home and Business Phone) services in and around Whitecap Dakota First Nation, Pike Lake, Gledhow and the surrounding areas. SaskTel technicians have been dispatched to resolve the outage, however, there currently is no estimated time of repair. SaskTel would like to apologize for any inconvenience this outage may cause for customers and thank them for their patience while we work to restore services as quickly as possible. In the event of an emergency, residents in and around the community will need to physically contact their nearest emergency services for assistance.

What Sasktel does do is invest more in infrastructure for our vast rural areas than regular providers would. I'm OK to pay a "little" more for that and we support them for that reason.
