Jabberwocky (@JabberwockyP) reported@SassBot69 @RomeTimed @theJagmeetSingh Yeah. However, it wasn't just SaskTel and MTS that offered those prices. Rogers, Bell, and Telus matched. So that leaves 2 possibilities. Either they lost money on providing service there for that price (gouging the rest of us to make up for it) or it was still profitable.

But you want to shut that industry down and crash our economy. Govt.s with union workers haven't been able to run anything else at all. Maybe Sasktel/telecom is an exception.

Mark Firemoon (@MFiremoon) reported@here4fredom @realnikohouse I get 900 Mbps down and 500 Mbps up on SaskTel in Saskatchewan. I've seen DOCSIS providers offer 2Gbps down and 1Gbps up, but they don't offer publicly rout able IPs.

JOaks (@J_0aks) reported@alexmarz @SaskTel @Telesat Yes they should definitely wait, continue to use extremely slow or no internet, because using starlink hurts some troll’s feelings. Starlink has been a game changer for people who’ve never had access to real high speed internet. No one will choose to pay more $$ for Telesat.

Brian Doane (@bgdoane) reported@SaskTel Well, I appreciate your reply. I know it's only lip service. I've been talking to Sasktel about this for years. Our complaints simply aren't going to cause you to build more towers or upgrade current ones. That's the only fix for this.

JM Amico 🇨🇦 (@4m1c0) reported@SharonASR @saskatoonGord If anything, they could take the new arena money and improve accessibility to and from SaskTel Centre - as that's been the biggest issue with that location. And they'd have money left over to use for things that are of higher priority in our city.

SK Jo (@invigilator4) reported@fanCRTCProfling Some of that will be remote locations. Land costs should actually be lower than average because the towers are going up on cheap or free land. (ie. White Fox tower went up on Sasktel's lot it already owned for the service shed) So that makes it even more suspect.
