And often exec govt footed the bill the bring better service into an area. There is no way a private company would have done the same. But ya, the service still sucks.

Winter driving is miserable and slow enough as it is. Couldn't do it in the summer when everyone is on vacation and parking lots outnumber people.

I spend a lot of time in Saskatchewan, people here seem pretty satisfied with SGI and SaskPower as well, even though they are monopolies, unlike SaskTel. Government run isn't always bad, just usually.

The outage is expected to last approximately 8 hours. The exact timing of the service interruption cannot be confirmed in advance. During the outage, residents who require emergency assistance should physically contact another person for help or visit your nearest health clinic or RCMP detachment. We have to run to a window if someone phones out cells phones while we are in the house. We keep our landline because cell service is so ******, we are on a farm and have wifi but that doesnβt help phone calls.
