@caiobchi @cmaconthehill @CityNewsKIT Videotron competition lowered prices in Quebec. Much like MTS + Sasktel did in MB / SK. Competition for the big 3. Videotron has service outside of QC, in Ottawa, same prices as QC. The big 3 and their flanker brands would not match prices of Videotron in Ottawa. We switched.

@KyleGunderson If you can get SaskTel to match price you should stay. They have the best customer service by far. When I needed a service they couldn’t match. Sticking with SaskTel would have cost an extra $50/month or $600/year. I couldn’t justify that so 1 or 2x a year sit on call waiting.

@Jennifer_Lester @SaskTelSupport telecom companies can only block scammers if they're calling from an out-of-country/overseas type number by reactively blocking all numbers by area code. As they can't exactly do that with their own local area code, scammers are winning. this isn't just a sasktel problem

@rogerblum @SaskTel I had 25 scam calls in one night last week. Only reason I keep my landlines is reliable 911 service so I turned off the ringer and I havent turned it back on.

@KyleGunderson I was on bell (in ON) for years before I switched over to Sasktel (here for post secondary). I paid for a plan with a gb, never got to use that data until after multiple calls with tech support. Was also unable to receive any coverage in areas that are 5g. No issues with Sasktel

@WilecoyEggert @theJagmeetSingh I mean, by all accounts, SaskTel is a well-run, well-regarded Crown corporation. It's weird that arguably the most right-wing province in Canada has no problems with a government-run telco, isn't it, Bill?
