  @caiobchi @cmaconthehill @CityNewsKIT Videotron competition lowered prices in Quebec. Much like MTS + Sasktel did in MB / SK. Competition for the big 3. Videotron has service outside of QC, in Ottawa, same prices as QC. The big 3 and their flanker brands would not match prices of Videotron in Ottawa. We switched.

  @SassBot69 @RomeTimed @theJagmeetSingh Yeah. However, it wasn't just SaskTel and MTS that offered those prices. Rogers, Bell, and Telus matched. So that leaves 2 possibilities. Either they lost money on providing service there for that price (gouging the rest of us to make up for it) or it was still profitable.

  SaskTel service outage impacting Whitecap Dakota First Nation and other communities May 27, 2026 – SaskTel is currently experiencing a service outage impacting Internet, Wireless, and Landline (SaskTel Home and Business Phone) services in and around Whitecap Dakota First Nation, Pike Lake, Gledhow and the surrounding areas. SaskTel technicians have been dispatched to resolve the outage, however, there currently is no estimated time of repair. SaskTel would like to apologize for any inconvenience this outage may cause for customers and thank them for their patience while we work to restore services as quickly as possible. In the event of an emergency, residents in and around the community will need to physically contact their nearest emergency services for assistance.

  On March 18, crews will be completing scheduled maintenance on the satellite network that supports SaskTel Landline Phone services (Home Phone and Business Phone) in Uranium City. As a result of this work, SaskTel Landline services will be unavailable for approximately eight hours in and around the community. While crews will work to complete the maintenance as quickly as possible, the exact timing of the service interruption and restoration cannot be confirmed in advance.

  @hamiltondw2 @bsproat @ctvregina This is them admitting they can not properly service rural Sask. So I like it for that ! But why on earth would I ever pay Sasktel for starlink.

  @MA5ONATOR HI Chills @MA5ONATOR, Saskatoon Transit only runs service to the Blades games from the special event stop on 23rd street between 1st and 2nd Avenue. For larger events SaskTel Center utilizes other resources. Please contact SaskTel center to confirm bus service from malls.

  @bgdoane @SaskTel Put your phone back to LTE/3G. We have to and it works much better. 5G is terrible here.

  Crews will continue to work on repairs to SaskTel’s fibre transport infrastructure throughout the weekend. However, there continues to be considerable risk for further interruptions to SaskTel Internet, Wireless and/or Landline (Home Phone and Business Phone) service due to ongoing fire activity and the nature of repairs involved.
