Jeff ๐จ๐ฆ ๐บ๐ฆ 5x Vaxxed (3 Pf,2Mod) (@penseur_logique) reported from Ottawa, Ontario@caiobchi @cmaconthehill @CityNewsKIT Videotron competition lowered prices in Quebec. Much like MTS + Sasktel did in MB / SK. Competition for the big 3. Videotron has service outside of QC, in Ottawa, same prices as QC. The big 3 and their flanker brands would not match prices of Videotron in Ottawa. We switched.

XCorpHub (@XCorpHub) reported๐จ SaskTel partners with Starlink to boost connectivity for rural businesses SaskTel has formed a strategic partnership with Starlink to deliver high-speed business internet services across Saskatchewan. Effective April 1, 2026, the provinceโs crown corporation will manage installation, equipment purchases, and billing in-house for qualifying rural businesses holding a valid GST number. This initiative directly supports small farms, mines, and forestry operations in areas where traditional fibre or broadband infrastructure remains costly and slow to deploy. Existing Starlink Business customers can switch to SaskTel billing at no charge, allowing them to consolidate services seamlessly. The move represents a meaningful advancement in closing the connectivity gap for rural Saskatchewan enterprises.

Colin Stewart (@cstewartyqr) reported@tammyrobert Wait, what? SaskTel should be in SERIOUS trouble over this. I remember back in 2019 dealing with SaskTel because my sister was paying my cellphone bill. I wanted her to be able to have access to my account, so I asked SaskTel how to go about it. (1/2)

Mark Firemoon (@MFiremoon) reported@kirkrussell4 @flipkoin2 Lรผm mobile runs on Bell's network outside of Saskatchewan, but the profits go back to the provincially owned, SaskTel. Support the people of Saskatchewan who kept public ownership.

Jason Jankoski (@jjjankoski) reported@ExnerPirot @BramRecorder I agree, our prices in SK are in the ball park, if not a little higher. What Sasktel does do is invest more in infrastructure for our vast rural areas than regular providers would. I'm OK to pay a "little" more for that and we support them for that reason.

WeimerLVR (@WapWes) reported@SaskTelSupport @tmccann14 @SaskTel Donโt feel bad I live in Asquith and we donโt have in reliable in buiding coverage. I have to use WIFI to make and recieve calls. The tower is located out of town. It didnโt work in Meadow Lake, Loon Lake or Goodsoil until they put towers right in town. I was A TST for 38 years.
