@caiobchi @cmaconthehill @CityNewsKIT Videotron competition lowered prices in Quebec. Much like MTS + Sasktel did in MB / SK. Competition for the big 3. Videotron has service outside of QC, in Ottawa, same prices as QC. The big 3 and their flanker brands would not match prices of Videotron in Ottawa. We switched.

@ReginaPosterBoy The funny thing is that SaskTel obviously WANTS people to quit the service. They don't want the few $ they will make from the service charge. They outsourced the service and now want it completely gone. What's next I wonder?

@lynboyle4 @SaskTel @cityofsaskatoon Yes, I've already spent more than $24 worth of time making changes but we also have to add my wife's account on top of that. It's not just the cost (which will add up over the years) but eventually they will just shutter the service entirely. That's their whole objective.

@CJMENews This is not only wrong as a Sasktel customer, but is a terrible idea. Considering how many logins (I have ~ 300) are associated with an email this is very disruptive to their customers. They shouldn’t give you at least a year to switch to other email providers.

@BastiPhantasti @ctvregina @SaskTel SaskTel wants to get out of email services altogether. Up to now it’s a non revenue generator and is costs to support. This is about shedding cost. I got a gmail account 5 years ago.

@ctvregina I’m convinced the Sk party will selloff our government entities like they did with the liquor board. They’ll sell off Sasktel, Sask power, SGI. I was a Sk party supporter, but hell no never again. They are destroying my province. And I am afraid of our healthcare. Like Ontario.

@SaskTel @LauriePalmer3 @alexYQR For a tiny service such as email in the context of all of the services you provide, charging for an email address will do more to hurt brand loyalty than any other charge I can think of.

@smitty4713 @SaskTel @cityofsaskatoon Isn’t the cost of internet service supposed to include an email address? I can understand if someone has 10, but charging for ONE? What SaskTel is going to lose because of this move is going to dwarf the email grift.

@michaelraiwet @SaskTel @alexYQR Michael. Supporting an email service is costly and generates $0. Not a dime. This is about SaskTel shedding cost to stay competitive in other lines of business.
