Well, over the course of 5 days & with the assistance of 7 tech support people & one service tech who visited my home, & countless “back end” people, my internet modem is finally activated. One special shout out to Jesse at @shawhelp who stuck with me until the problem was fixed

@PeterLepine @Shawhelp Isn't that stupid, how they run their business and survive. I guess no competition.

  • GreatLakesHello Leaf (@GreatLakesHello) reported

@Shawhelp Ok.But isn’t that really a Shaw issue? We fully believe Shaw is not taking this area seriously due to a small population. Canada went nuts when Rogers was out for 2 days! But a single outage of 4 days PLUS a ton of frequent &often 8 hour outages here seem to elicit no response.

  • robedwards9910 Rob Edwards (@robedwards9910) reported

Hey @Shawhelp how come my wifi and TV connection drops every single day of the week now? Wifi probably 2-3 times a day and now my cable connection minimum once a week? Help.. #timefortelus

  • PeterLepine Peter A. Lepine (@PeterLepine) reported

Update. Contacted Shaw technical support. They advise that my account won’t be fixed until at least Monday. Jesus. Rogers had a Canada-wide cellular meltdown a few months ago which they fixed in 24 hrs. Yet, Shaw can’t get around to fixing my internet for 5 days. @shawhelp

@Shawhelp your website says the outage is over but I still don't have services back

  • PeterLepine Peter A. Lepine (@PeterLepine) reported

@Shawhelp Just got off another conversation with your tech support. She says she spoke to the right people to escalate this as a priority. Im told that I can expect a call from them as soon as the problem with my account is fixed, which is what they said yesterday.

@Shawhelp is there an outage in Moose Jaw?

  • GreatLakesHello Leaf (@GreatLakesHello) reported

@Shawhelp Yes,thank you,the point is it keeps happening and it’s for prolonged periods…now it’s 8 hours of no service. AGAIN. It’s a frequently disappointing service. So much so that we are not willing to go through this again all winter as we did last year when 1 outage was 4 days long!

  • PeterLepine Peter A. Lepine (@PeterLepine) reported

@Shawhelp Done that already, twice The service tech who showed up at my house yesterday also tried to work with you folks. No luck. Your account management people need to fix my account so that the new modem can be added which will allow the tech to activate the modem. Just that simple.
