Douglas Mark (@DouglasJMark) reportedFinally got through to Bell yesterday afternoon on a Sunday. Had to push tech support hard but respectfully. Thankfully, a manager called me back and pointed out that our original static IP address now belonged to someone else (I figured as much). He said static IPs are in limited supply apparently and it might be hard to get it back?!! 🫨 He promised to send a tech over in the morning to try and fix it (no guarantee we'll get our static IP back and might face more delays to reconnect to Telus Health). The Bell technician will have unlock our phone router to allow SIP lines to by restored. 4 days of lock out is not acceptable for our patients and I will push for better with a guarantee for fast response if our static IP goes down by some tech glitch in the future. Hope this will soon come to an end 🙏

cliff wardle (@winemaker1960) reported@67Dodge I believe Telus has a $500M stock buyback program. Damn I hate stock buybacks - is steals from investors and the govt is robbed of taxes, just to artificially prop up share prices which should actually be buoyed by productivity and profits.

Adjusted income still dropped 26 percent once you strip that out. I've built systems like this. The story sells long before anyone checks if the product holds up. Makes me wonder how many other Canadian telcos are carrying an AI unit priced on the same promise.

The old guide implied roughly $970M of H2 spending. The new guide implies roughly $1.27B. And the new CEO listed where money goes from here: the wireless networks, network infrastucture upgades and site enablememt is on the list. Lance Wunsch (@lance_wunsch) reportedIs anyone else tired of the big 2 mobile and home ‘phone internet providers’? Here we have Telus and Bell, Rogers doesn’t have good mobile coverage. No decent customer service. They have sent it out of the country so they can pay people extremely low wages compared to Canada. Always trying to gouge the customer. It is past time the government allows more competition. Of course this will never happen, I’m would guess it would be due to excellent corporate lobbyists. I am so tired of have a captured government and bureaucracy.

Since this was part of a physical move I tried to cancel svc but was told I had to pay the entire 2 yr contract

Here she is seen supporting bell on her jersey, a company from the east coast. What was the reason why she favours an east coast company? Revenue to help support taxpayer funded buildings would be good no?
