@BonnieBonzo1 Agreed, this country needs more providers. And more REAL providers, not just resellers piggybacking on the network backbone provided by Rogers, Telus and bell

@catholts @WalmartNK @AmitaKuttner If Bell and Telus we're able to route Rogers traffic seamlessly yesterday we wouldn't have anywhere near the issue we did.

@subvoyeur @HeatherMoAndCo Our landline and tv didn’t work with outage. Neither did our Telus cells. I was in a situation where I had to call a doctor at the hospital and the hospital lines were down too. Very serious issues esp for palliative care pt in Durham.

@sdhalfyard @reannaapril0 @TheBeaverton Telus uses Bell towers. They do not own their own towers. If Bell went down, like Roger's did- Telus would not be available .

@drandrewb Moving my phones to Telus so if this ever happens again, I won’t be down for 16 hours with zero access to anything

@The280Times @AboutRogers need to have home phones that will WORK when Rogers goes down. Landlines no longer work when your Rogers, Bell, Telus etc service goes down. We need dedicated landlines that are separate from the internet/cable again.

@VivianBercovici The only thing that’s obvious is that our government has failed us once again. How stupid do you have to be to have one company in control. Especially not even the strongest one? Notice Bell & Telus users don’t have this problem ever? Stop getting doses people.

@WesternHemlox I know 2 BC older folks who've always had land lines &never internet service. Presumably, Telus' own phone network still exists apart from the internet,& Telus' line into yr. home can connect to both. I believe land lines still have superior audio quality vs. VOIP (which I have)
