  It turns out the two days before the Summerland fire, the Penticton city council demanded Rogers and Telus to update the horrible cell phone coverage. Neither the Eby or Carney govts even bothered to respond. Now there’s 12,000 Summerland residents in Penticton trying to get information on the fire and power outage and evacuation. There’s a massive bottleneck now and getting service is intermittent, at best. Where are the temporary cell towers? Total govt incompetence and mismanagement of the entire situation.

  @Richard_sfu @TELUSsupport I always use social media to vent my frustration because of the lousy support you get from customer service. This is Telus man! Nothing good to say.

  @bigdaddybustard @DannyAustin_9 Done , cancelled Rogers and got Telus. When they asked why I was cancelling, I went off on the poor guy on the phone..

  @bleating_lamb @JimScarratt Didn't bother with transfer & changed provider, annual subscription for alternate payroll equivalent for one month earnie/telus. Now ready to dump gatekeeper... actively looking for alternatives...not convinced their offer for agronomist/mapping solution will be viable (30yrs FP)

  @TELUSsupport between July 28 and today Aug 5 I have spoke to at least 8-9 Telus agents to resolve a problem . l've had agents diarize to call me back as follow up ... nothing. Any other business working like this would be bankrupt. Telus is the worst provider choice !!!

  @FanMontanaro It's worse. I pay for OneSoccer in my Telus subscription, and they didn't have the game. And even tough I've already paid thru Telus, I need a separate login and subscription on their website.

  $TU - TELUS CUT ITS DIVIDEND 55% AND RAISED CAPEX. THE FREE CASH FLOW GUIDE FELL A QUARTER. Every rung of the 2026 guide moved at once. Free cash flow to about $1.8 billion from about $2.45 billion; capital expenditures UP to about $2.6 billion from about $2.3 billion; consolidated service revenue growth to flat-to−2% from 2% to 4%; adjusted EBITDA growth to −2% to −4% from 2% to 4%. The quarterly dividend was reset 55% to $0.1875 a share, an annualized $0.75, which TELUS says frees roughly $2.7 billion of cash through 2028 for debt reduction. The payout policy moved to 45–60% of trailing free cash flow from 60–75%, and the discount on the dividend reinvestment plan is gone from October 1 — the company says that reduces shareholder dilution. The leverage target itself never moved. The deadline did: about 3.0 times net debt to adjusted EBITDA by year-end 2028 rather than 2027, from 3.5 times at quarter-end, citing "competitive pricing pressure and reduced subscriber demand amid lower population growth." Mobile phone net additions were 17,000. A carrier that grew by connecting a growing country is repricing for one that isn't. The dividend is what pays for the extra year. Shares fell about 12%.

  @TELUSsupport He said no idea. Probably it is the cable which I use it to connect device and Model. I know he is wrong because I always use cable with no such issue before. Telus does not follow up.
