So Trader Joe is going to ruin the family legacy? Are you sure he’s not a Telus spy? Once a Raider always a Raider. He is not family, his loyalties are to the competition. The state of affairs under his “leadership” should make that obvious. Unless you are an idiot and blind. Ed.

Nice of @TELUS 2 offer all Ontario Frontline Health careworkers 2 months free service but there's a catch-they only consider 6 hospitals that are good enough. what about the other hospitals -All Frontline healthcare workers R important regardless of hospital! Please extend this.

@bramabramson @Mark_Goldberg @Bell @Rogers @TELUS @Videotron @ShawInfo The problem today is mostly on inter-carrier calls, so if calls can be routed without using those trunks it would be a big win. I think I’m going to write a follow up post this week with a primer on PSTN routing.

@TELUS I think it’s a pretty crap move to take the finally affordable $60 for 10 promo plan and hike the rate 16%. Never once has a promo plan that I’ve had been altered after signing up.

Can't believe I'm doing this again @TELUS. I've already signed up with a competitor and simply waiting for my phone, but the issue that I've been trying to resolve for months that I've cancelled my relationship with you over is still not resolved.

@TELUS so let me get this straight you want yo add a credit card processing fee starting in October, pending CRTC approval to, Canadians that already pay the highest in the world for a phone service that is 2 x cheaper in most places on the planet. Good Job 👏👏👏

  • mgamble
Matthew Gamble (@mgamble) reported from Oakville, Ontario

@Mark_Goldberg @TELUS @ShawInfo No, I’m only talking about fiber in the ground. It needs to be treated like a utility, not like a competitive service. We don’t need to rip up streets twice and run multiple cables to each home. And if the government is funding it, it 💯 percent needs to be open access.

This is probably one of the most insane SAMSUNG proxy on the market. $AMPG - AmpliTech Group > $150M market cap > Its radios are already installed in TELUS's new 5G network, side by side with Samsung > Every new style TELUS tower uses 5 radios per sector. 2 of them are AmpliTech's > Sales up 49% YoY last quarter, 48% gross margins, $18M cash, zero debt What is Open RAN? Simple: telecom giants used to buy entire networks from one vendor ($NOK, $ERIC, Huawei). Open RAN lets them mix and match equipment from multiple suppliers. TELUS is rebuilding its whole network this way by 2029. That is how a tiny New York company ended up next to Samsung on a Tier 1 carrier's towers. The math 5,000 towers x 6 AmpliTech radios = 30,000 radios 30,000 radios x $15K each = $450M opportunity Trading at 0.1x the 2029 bull case math. Even if the real price per radio is a third of that, the r/r is still extremely good. And TELUS is just the first leg: > $118M in signed letters of intent from carriers > Worked with $NVDA on the first AI-powered radio demo > Shipped space hardware to a mystery Fortune 50 building a satellite internet constellation (you can guess who) > The only US maker of a special amplifier that quantum computers need. $GOOG and $IBM have received units Sourced: @Lonsdale171255 (original article) @olyth_terminal (calculations)

  • MardoResearch
    Mardo (@MardoResearch) reported

$AMPG is moving because investors are realizing this may be more than a small telecom parts company. The simple bull case: AMPG makes radio equipment used in Open RAN networks. Open RAN lets telecom companies build 5G networks using equipment from multiple vendors instead of relying only on giants like Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, or Huawei. That matters because TELUS, one of Canada’s largest telecom companies, is rolling out Open RAN across Canada — and AMPG appears to be one of the smaller vendors getting real equipment into that network. According to industry reports, TELUS Open RAN sites use AMPG radios alongside Samsung equipment, with AMPG providing two FDD mid-band radios per sector. A normal macro tower has three sectors, which implies six AMPG radios per site. So the upside math is what has investors excited: If TELUS eventually deploys AMPG equipment across 5,000 sites, that could mean roughly 30,000 radios. At an estimated $10,000–$25,000 per radio, that creates a rough potential revenue range of $300 million to $750 million over time (compared to current annualized revenue of around $21 million). That is not official company guidance, and pricing/volumes are not confirmed. But for a company with a small market cap, even a portion of that opportunity could be very meaningful. The stock is going up because investors are betting AMPG could turn from a niche RF components company into a real supplier for the next wave of 5G, Open RAN, and AI-connected telecom infrastructure. Disclosure: I'm long, and already up +40% after reviewing @rk8215's deep dive. Credit also goes to @olyth_terminal fore recent analysis.

  • JonFraserTF
    Jon Fraser (@JonFraserTF) reported

Today I ended 18 years with @telus as my cell provider. Up until 6 months ago they had always been decent to deal with. Recently they had 3 major strikes against them and with my Bring-it-Back period ending this week, I decided it was time for a change. What should have been a straightforward process turned into a masterclass in Kafkaesque customer service - that will now stretch into tomorrow. If anyone is considering @telus - don't.
