    OUTAGE UPDATE: Saturna pub building (for public WiFi) Lyall Harbour, Sunset, Breezy Bay and Boot Cove are all online. Mt. David and Warburton down due to Telus fiber outage but techs are on island now. No access to Bruce Peak trees across the cables with power lines on the ground

    Now, I don't hold the fact of the physical plant against Telus. I honestly don't even hold the poor maintenance on these wires against them. I live in the middle of nowhere. This is the price you pay. HOWEVER, there are a bunch of things I DO hold against Telus about this.

    @markjpwns @TELUS Part of my problem with Switch...having to delete and redownload things when you run out of space is not a good solution.

    So basically @TELUS have kicked the can down the road. This is all perfunctory bullshit designed to make it appear as though they're "doing everything they can" to the regulator, while not actually doing ANYTHING. Cute trick, but I'm not biting.

    @HangryMale @TELUS I prefer Telus for the services I get from them, but if they keep pushing this it may be enough to reconsider my main telecommunications service provider

    The Telus rep wouldn't even talk about bonding the modems. Computer says no. It isn't in the system as available, so it isn't a discussion they will even entertain, and I am supposed to be grateful they're willing to provide any service at all. What an uppity peasant I am!

    @watershedbrew In general my service experiences with Telus have been good. They have not let me down.
