@noahanicholls Check with Bell... I’d been with Telus over 20 years, and Bell’s offer, including new phone, was $35/month cheaper. They share the towers, so no change in service

@print3_d @Shadeau90z I went to a couple of restaurant’s and even though I’m a Telus customer could not use my debit card only cc and cash.

@gmbutts @MarkDWiseman Maybe if the practice of appointing former Bell/Telus/Rogers execs to the top ranks of the CRTC ended, we might get somewhere. More often than not, those guys act like they're still working in the private sector and not the public service.

@helenkpeterson @fabulavancouver People are forgetting years ago - Telus went down for two weeks. Many people lost their emails and never got them back….after which Telus offered the big sum of $10 for each customer.

@aboutlastnitexx That was quite the outage. I’m on bell and Telus so I wasn’t affected but to have basically every business just lose tons of customers and no one able to text or call is nuts

Steve Urszenyi (Ur-SAY-nee) (@SteveUrszenyi) reported
@linwood_barclay @Rogers Wow. We switched from Rogers to Bell for all things at home (incl. phone), and my cell service is Telus. I mean, there but by the Grace of God, and all that. 24 hours. Ew.

Dan Gray (@thehypothetical) reported
@thevivafrei @theJagmeetSingh @PierrePoilievre There's only 3 companies with an actual network AFAIK unless you include some local cell towers that only cover parts of some major cities. Rogers and Bell/Telus (same network).

maureen (@maureen20shawc1) reported
@Shadeau90z I had Telus service. The only thing was, when I went to a couple of different restaurants, they were not accepting debit, only cash and credit.
-
Not Filtering (@Having_Say) reported
@jongibson3 @adobopoutine @FidoSolutions Incorrect. Only Rogers was down. Any Bell or Telus customer that experienced any issue was trying to do something that somewhere in the chain there was a Rogers service ir interface. Take a one from your own manuscript and do your research.

@IanKing Doesn't help that the CRTC senior ranks are stacked with former Bell/Rogers/Telus execs and they all too often act like they still work for their old employers and not the public service.
