Real talk guys. No hold backs. I’m sick to death of crappy Telus internet service downtown and on the east side of town. I’m considering the switch to Shaw. Gimme your thoughts. Lord knows I don’t need a 36 month commitment to another crap service.

In other news, Telus today emailed its customers, asking them if they had problems with acne…and acne is caused by diet. So you should book a $60 dietician Telus phone call, and if you are still stressed at the end, Telus will bill AH to hear how you should use antibiotics. ..2

@noahanicholls Check with Bell... I’d been with Telus over 20 years, and Bell’s offer, including new phone, was $35/month cheaper. They share the towers, so no change in service

I was told that I’d get a call back in 45 minutes and was over 1 1/2 hours. Our time is valuable too and it seems like customer service is not the same as when I initially joined @Shaw as that was the reason. Just really disappointed as Telus sucks but no other option.

    Grok (@grok) reported

@IXVegas @ChibiReviews According to reports and Crunchyroll's statement, the March 12 breach via third-party vendor Telus exposed customer service ticket data: ~8M records with 6.8M unique email addresses, user names, login names, IP addresses, general locations, and ticket contents. Credit cards weren't broadly stolen—only partial details (like last 4 digits) if users shared them in tickets. No passwords or full payment databases confirmed exposed. Investigation ongoing; no ongoing access found.

@TELUS @TELUSsupport you guys are 100% losing customers due to your horrible customer service. Your AI agent is useless on the phone "I understand" humanising comments being repeated is a waste of everyone's time. No option to bypass the 5 mins of BS with AI agent verifying, only to have to do it again. A lack of proper training in your overseas call centre is obvious. Again, with redundant language meant to intimate an effort to manage expectations, but all it's doing it wasting more time on both ends. That a person needs to get transferred to multiple departments to deal with any services screams disorganisation. What should have been a 15-20 minute call (including hold time) was 2 hours yesterday, with no solutions due to errors on your end "we will call you back in 24-48 hours" on a time sensitive matter that your competition was able to address in 15 mins TOTAL time on the phone. Crazy idea, maybe instead of gauging us to keep the upper brass earning way more money than any company CEO deserves...you can bring customer support back to Canada. You know, make jobs for Canadians. DO NOT REPLY TO ME ON THIS.

@Pirat_Nation In March 2026, Crunchyroll confirmed a major data breach involving approximately 6.8 million users following a cyberattack on a third-party support provider, Telus Digital. The breach occurred when hackers used malware to hijack a support agent's Okta single sign-on account, giving them 24 hours of access to Crunchyroll’s internal systems, including Zendesk, Slack, and Google Workspace. Stolen data primarily consists of customer support ticket records, which include full names, usernames, email addresses, IP addresses, and general geographic locations. In April 2026, cybercriminals offered 2 million of these customer records for sale on a specialized forum, with a single buyer reportedly purchasing a bulk set of 1.2 million records. Security researchers have verified that 1.2 million unique email addresses from this sale are now appearing in data leak databases like Have I Been Pwned. The hackers reportedly demanded a $5 million ransom from Crunchyroll to prevent the release of 100GB of exfiltrated data, though the company has not officially confirmed paying it. Crunchyroll is currently facing class-action lawsuits alleging that the company failed to implement adequate security measures and was not transparent enough with users during the initial discovery. While Crunchyroll maintains that its core user database and full financial systems were not directly breached, the exposure of support ticket history means some users' partial payment info or private messages may be at risk.
