    I still don't understand how @TELUS was able to buy @masconcable meaning both internet options in my village are controlled by 1 company. How is this not a monopoly? Tech support ends at 8pm and I have been waiting for an agent for nearly 20 minutes

    @Ayan604 That is completely unacceptable, and I am sorry you had that experience Andy. This sounds like a spammer or scammer spoofing our caller ID to pretend to be TELUS.     @VanIsleInvestor I figure I can make back the extra $100/month I lost in the dividend cut by cancelling my internet Telus internet service and land line and going with JUTE and VOIP. I will have to pay an extra $150 in cancellation fees but will make over $1000 in savings for the rest of the year.

    @nenshi Just like your Fellow BC NDP Party is doing Naheed. Telus building 3 AI sites in Metro Vancouver. No extra baseline dispachable power either ? BC Hydro scrambling saying they will be short 20 % by 2029. But BC NDP puts up 4 more Bird killing windmills to help supply AI power

    I follow dividend kings and champions very closely. Today, Telus $TU just cut its dividend by 55%. That move ends a 22-year streak of yearly increases at the second-largest telecom firm in Canada. Shares were down as much as 14% as soon as the news came out. The red flags sat out in the open for some time. The firm carried a weak dividend score of 6.8. Its payout ratio sat at a wild 278%. The yield hit 11%, and anything over 6% already looks risky. Debt forced the issue. Management needed cash, and the dividend was the fastest place to grab it. The company is listed in my International Dividend Champions report. The next update of that list will show the change.

    @Richard_sfu @TELUSsupport It’s Telus man! Crappy service and worst customer service of all! My latest bill increased by $ 5 each for Optik Tv and 3Gbps Internet which I not getting since upgrading from the 1. 5 Gbps and the speed is even worse. And they have the guts to increase it !

    @_northwords I'm in the Sardis Library right now on 5G, with Telus no less, and I can't watch a 30-second basketball clip. I know, first world problems, but I can't access work mail in the Community Forest area. Whereas my wife had cell coverage atop Kilimanjaro and in rural China.

    @BenRabidoux Most people already have cellphones. Most of the times when I speak to a representative of Telus I come away with the feeling that they are trying to cheat me in some way. It is not a surprise that subscriber growth has slowed down.

    @bcbluecon Even in Central Coquitlam at my business , y over y we pay more and y over year @telus service gets worse. Multiple dropped calls per week. Dead zones. Ridiculous given what we Canadians pay. Time of emergency I can’t imagine how bad it must be.

    God my internet is so slow :/ I have Telus purefibre 250 Mbps and man it is sooo slow to download games or stuff on my laptop like it takes an hour plus. tbh i kinda did forgot what internet plan i actually had (lol) but i thankfully will probably upgrade to either purefibre 1 gigabit or 1.5 gigabit and hopefully i will have much faster speeds :) and once i do that, i will only have to get an Ethernet port installed in my bedroom and then i will finally not have to worry about internet speeds again :3
