These large Canadian telcos (Telus and Shaw) are apparently in cost-cutting mode in a big way. At the customer's expense, of course. Called Shaw TV support a couple of Sundays ago. "Sorry, we're closed". Yeah, who would have a technical issue on a Sunday?

@ChrisSpace4 @macpm3 Telus Health is better than nothing, but “corporate” virtual care cannot replace a family doctor for many issues. Also, appointments are often cancelled w/o explanation and they only have 2 in person clinics in BC, with wait times of 3+ weeks for an appointment.

@Rogers @Bell @TELUS you know what would be a ingenious idea for mobile service plans, bundle cell phone with home internet, and your mobile data is simply an extension of your home internet. No more of this "unlimited" data throttled once you hit your cap.

Tried to contact Telus home support. After staying on the phone listening to it ring for over 6 minutes I got bored and hung up. Funny how the bills arrive on time and they expect to get paid on time but, if one needs help, radio silence. Was thinking of signing up. Not now!

  • Runesai Chris (@Runesai) reported

@SIRIUSXM, where did you get your customer service help from. I told them no about subbing after my 3 month trial with my new van. They have been harassing my home multiple times a day all week. Bugger off eh. You guys are worse than Telus!

  • JockCartier **** Cartier (@JockCartier) reported

@saskryan @SaskTelSupport Have you tried power cycling the routers? I was having trouble with my Telus boxes a couple years ago, and it turned out it was actually the routers

I still don't understand how my @Bell service was affected by the @TELUS outage in #NorthwesternBC #ELI5

  • TammyFergusonBC Tammy Ferguson (@TammyFergusonBC) reported

@TELUSsupport I’m sick of paying high fees for internet constantly being down in Ashcroft, BC. I’m also sick of hearing there are no problems. I’m sick of the lies, Mascon uses Telus lines, Mascon customers are getting improvements while Telus customers suffer the costs.1/2

  • amandajfollett Amanda Follett Hosgood (@amandajfollett) reported

In their brief response, Telus said 911 was “not affected.” That’s true, but only if you could get a call out — made somewhat easier by an emergency feature that bumps calls from Telus phones over to other available networks. But it was certainly not a guarantee.

@TELUSsupport how do you cancel a landline? I’m asking for the family of a senior who has been moved to another care facility and is required to accept their existing phone system, so needs to cancel Telus. Senior has mobility issues and family lives hours away.
