  I follow dividend kings and champions very closely. Today, Telus $TU just cut its dividend by 55%. That move ends a 22-year streak of yearly increases at the second-largest telecom firm in Canada. Shares were down as much as 14% as soon as the news came out. The red flags sat out in the open for some time. The firm carried a weak dividend score of 6.8. Its payout ratio sat at a wild 278%. The yield hit 11%, and anything over 6% already looks risky. Debt forced the issue. Management needed cash, and the dividend was the fastest place to grab it. The company is listed in my International Dividend Champions report. The next update of that list will show the change.

  @Mel02999853Mel @krisster8 @TELUS For me, it was the technicians dying in customers driveways on service calls that I had never heard about my entire career until the 💉 Customers calling where’s my technician, GPS shows them on site, dead in their truck in the driveway one in Ontario one in British Columbia.

  @wliang is bullish on $AMPG and for a very good reason.   @AngelaUnspoken Virgin Mobility it's essentially Bell Mobility under a different branding. Same EPC, same billing system, same network backbone. Same thing goes with Telus and Koodo. Koodo is Telus' flanker brand. My guess is that you've probably switched to a BYOD plan by switching to Virgin from Bell. This is how much I pay, on a BYOD plan. Just a disclaimer, this is a business / corporate account.

  @StatisticsBC @VIAwesome Fair enough—public debate is healthy. But the core claims driving the marches (water grid drain + waste heat baking the city) still don’t match the actual engineering. These aren’t traditional evaporative data centres. Telus/Westbank designs use closed-loop liquid cooling—a sealed system that recirculates the same fluid, like a car radiator. Result: dramatically lower water use (company target: up to 90% less than conventional air-cooled facilities) and near-zero ongoing evaporation for the primary loop. At 150 W Georgia, the heat isn’t vented to the street. It’s transferred into Creative Energy’s district steam plant to help heat 200+ downtown buildings and cut natural-gas demand. That’s the opposite of “warming the city.” Protests highlight real questions about scale, power, and process. Those deserve scrutiny. Spreading outdated assumptions about water and heat does not. #Vancouver #DataCentres #Sustainability

  @TELUSBusiness I have been trying to get a Bell landline ported over to a Telus business mobility account for over two weeks now and have spoken too many agents to mention and getting bounced around from department to department and nobody is willing to help!!
