They keep our rates cheap & their roaming is the best bet going in Canada… literally flips to whichever carrier has the best signal at any given moment (Rogers/Bell/Telus), in my experience.

When phoning a customer service department, if you don’t get a live human answering within 5 minutes, a $50.00 will be given to the customer. And for each subsequent 5 minute wait, another $50.00. Telus also was horrible to deal with and kept insisting they couldn’t cancel trying to force me to move the services to a new residence which at the time obvsiouslt didn’t have yet.

That 1.3b could be used to employ roughly 30,000 Canadians full time for 40,000 a year, roughly another 3,000 if they fired the international employees.
