@saschasegan was reading the Speedtest for Canada and trying to understand the Telus/Bell result. Is it that their 5G works by using 5G and LTE at the same time, hence “5G is just another band on top of LTE”? In short, are they doing MIMO with multiple LTE signals & 1 5G signal?

@evefavretto @saschasegan @TELUS I mean fair enough I guess. SIM swap scams are getting to be a massive problem… and given how attached folks are to their phone number it would be really rough to have to get a new one.

Don’t get me wrong I would love to see it and think they deserve the coverage. I just think you have to get the sponsors to buy in that it’s worth it and for us to support it🚨🏆🇨🇦

@DavidStaplesYEG If people want media coverage to change I have a simple way. Bell owns a lot of media. If say 200k people agree to cancel their bell cellphone and move to say TELUS. That action would hammer Bell revenue to the tune of at least $2m. Per month. They care so much about subs/ARPU

@JohnMBauer1 @_LoveMTB_ You can likely find similar with TELUS. Most times they will match to gain a new customer. It’s worth the switch to help force the media to be fair in their coverage.

@AlbertaLeonidas I have a bring your own phone plan with Telus, they give me nothing for bringing my own phone though. It's their cheapest data plan, and it went up 5%. Pissed me off, but what can you do? Bell is worse, and Rodgers is terrible coverage where I live.

Every time I use my phone for twitter..my internet goes out. I seriously think I need to get rid of Telus. I dislike the speed and the stupid 90's lookalike modem. Stupid vent, I'm only half-high.
