@saschasegan was reading the Speedtest for Canada and trying to understand the Telus/Bell result. Is it that their 5G works by using 5G and LTE at the same time, hence “5G is just another band on top of LTE”? In short, are they doing MIMO with multiple LTE signals & 1 5G signal?

  • OriginalGoo22 Gapper Habs Fan 76 (@OriginalGoo22) reported from London, Ontario

@howiethomas @KrisLipscombe @ChristyMin @chevrolet @Nike @TELUS @TSN_Sports They do but it doesn’t mean their sponsor $ is allocated to anyone other than the men’s program. Don’t get me wrong I would love to see it and think they deserve the coverage. I just think you have to get the sponsors to buy in that it’s worth it and for us to support it🚨🏆🇨🇦

@evefavretto @saschasegan @TELUS I mean fair enough I guess. SIM swap scams are getting to be a massive problem… and given how attached folks are to their phone number it would be really rough to have to get a new one.

@TELUSsupport is London Ontario network completely down? Says no service for my entire family? We are all Telus!

  • FGluns Frank (@FGluns) reported from London, Ontario

@D420Kato @pokelawls @RogersHelps @Bell Telus only have service on the west coast

In effect, this may not be so different than Bell blocking who they want via AI (the Call-blocking AI file & the BotNet file). In these cases, like the Telus case, the CellCo/Telco takes on the role as punisher. This is called "self-help" per Telus This is also vigilantism.

  • jife740 jon mingo (@jife740) reported

@VZWSupport You have sold over 100 different Android devices since 2018, and yet you still only "support" RCS for 3 PHONES? Carriers all around the world are supporting it. T-Mobile, Telus, even Boost Mobile and Straight Talk embrace it. Why not the nation's largest network?

  • fanCRTCProfling Commissioner Miner (@fanCRTCProfling) reported

In the #CRTC Dead Grandmother file, Telus wants to be able to block anything whenever they want under a new proposed CRTC doctrine of "Self-Help". Do you think CellCo's/Telco's should have the power of "Self-Help" when a regulator exists?

Telus get your **** together please I’m tired of this BS 🙃

  • ShoeTease 𝓒𝓻𝓲𝓼𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓪 (@ShoeTease) reported

@MSCMommyLife @FreedomMobile My bf does. It used to be VERY spotty in the city and missed calls because of it at home. However, the last few months it’s been a non issue and he pays $57 per month which is amazing (I pay $83 with Telus).

  • dalecbradley Dale Bradley 🏳️‍🌈😷 (@dalecbradley) reported

@ShawInfo I have been struggling with modem issues for over a month. Go to Shaw store and they were hesitant to help me without a service ticket. The plug and play modem they gave me also doesn't work. Called Telus for new service

From my count, I've had 6 cellphone in 20 years. I had two flip phones with Telus, then when I switched to Bell I started down the iPhone path with four, the latest being the iPhone 11. How many have you had since 2000?

  • VanCityPaez Michael Paez (@VanCityPaez) reported

@TELUSsupport I have a question. I'm having an issue with my telus optic boxes. They seem to be freezing/laggy. I am thinking that it is not receiving a good enough signal from the base, since I am only getting 2 out of 4 bars. What unit is the one sending out the signal....

  • ElvisCavalic Elvis (@ElvisCavalic) reported

@galaxyhunter309 @youseepeeYYC Nice. You've inspired me to cancel my Telus and switch to another provider.

  • garymoen88 Gary Moen (@garymoen88) reported

Anyone else keep losing signal with the #Canucks game on CBC or @Sportsnet on @TELUS ?
