@evefavretto @saschasegan @TELUS I mean fair enough I guess. SIM swap scams are getting to be a massive problem… and given how attached folks are to their phone number it would be really rough to have to get a new one.

@TELUS @TELUS: FYI: “We are working hard at reducing service levels” means you are cutting the services you provide. Also, if you’re working hard to do less, you’re doing it wrong. (Sorry to read about how @vsavoia you were treated

@saschasegan was reading the Speedtest for Canada and trying to understand the Telus/Bell result. Is it that their 5G works by using 5G and LTE at the same time, hence “5G is just another band on top of LTE”? In short, are they doing MIMO with multiple LTE signals & 1 5G signal?

@Jayd_Ink As an YYC Shaw & Telus customer in Ontario visiting family, I’m as happy with Rogers as I am with Air Canada right now. Our flight down here was canceled twice, rebooked & then modified 3 times alone. No compensation at all. And now this from Rogers! A ridiculous service debacle!

@howiethomas @KrisLipscombe @ChristyMin @chevrolet @Nike @TELUS @TSN_Sports They do but it doesn’t mean their sponsor $ is allocated to anyone other than the men’s program. Don’t get me wrong I would love to see it and think they deserve the coverage. I just think you have to get the sponsors to buy in that it’s worth it and for us to support it🚨🏆🇨🇦

@TELUSsupport is London Ontario network completely down? Says no service for my entire family? We are all Telus!

JUST IN: American 5G is among the WORST in the world for AI, according to Ookla. And FDD radios, like the ones $AMPG sells to Telus $T.TO, are the key. Out of 22 countries studied, the US ranks DEAD LAST in the share of throughput it gives to the uplink, and 20th in latency. That matters because AI services (multimodal AI, AR glasses, real-time apps) are uplink-hungry. They push data UP: video, voice, sensor streams. And US networks are sitting below the thresholds AI needs. Why is the US so far behind? Ookla is specific: the country leans too heavily on TDD spectrum and lacks enough FDD lowband to complement it. The networks with consistent uplink (the Nordics, UK, Australia) combine TDD midband WITH FDD. The US doesn't. Read that again. The diagnosis is literally: America needs more FDD in the mix. Now connect it to AMPG. On the Tier-1 carrier deployment we've discussed, AMPG supplies the FDD mid-band radios. Two of the five radios per sector, in the exact band Ookla says US networks are missing. So the logic writes itself. If the US wants 5G that's actually ready for the AI era, Ookla says it needs network investment and more FDD. That's capex. And capex on FDD radios is precisely the buildout AMPG sells into. And this lines up with everything else pointing the same way: the $66B TELUS plan, the FY2027 defense spend, the sovereignty push, the AI-RAN validation. More American network investment, in the exact areas AMPG serves. The diagnosis (US needs FDD and network investment for AI) points straight at AMPG's lane. America's 5G isn't ready for AI. Fixing it means building more of exactly what AMPG makes. This is not financial advice. Do your own research. I'm long $AMPG.

@AlleyDalley @Rogers We don't have Telus home services available here, but it sounds like everything is choosing the best of the worst. Telus service went severely downhill when they sent customer service offshore and I understand others have done the same. Pricing is not intended to be competitive.

@bcbluecon Telus sucks as well. They all start you at a reduced rate and then keep jacking it up. Try Starlink if you can.
