Vidéotron Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • CPComm Campbell Patterson (@CPComm) reported

@quaid_jennifer How can the Minister signal he will likely approve the deal if Videotron buys Freedom and not know what enforceability mechanisms are required? It would be like a Chief Justice of a Competition Tribunal saying a decision needs to be expedited before he sees all the evidence.

  • BradCoates Brad Coates (@BradCoates) reported

What happens to Shaw's wireless spectrum in the Rogers acquisition? How will Videotron maintain service for Freedom's customers if they lose it? Will it be through a roaming agreement with Rogers b/c that would be ridiculous Any insight? @peternowak @Bryson_M @AlsoKnownAs_AA

  • HSmythe10 Hank Smythe 🇺🇦 (@HSmythe10) reported

@AnthonyLacavera Only in socialized Canada should anyone but the owners decide whom they should sell to. FYI the Crown can direct divestiture but not pick the receiving buyers. @Globalive never stood a chance against the size of @Videotron.

  • z_ok_ny Nervous Climate Optimist (@z_ok_ny) reported

@mgeist @FP_Champagne Apparently they turned down a higher offer for Wind/Freedom from the original investment firm that started Wind. Seems likely they are intentionally picking Videotron because they know they won't give them real trouble

  • Bryson_M bryson (@Bryson_M) reported

The Competition Bureau's position on the Rogers-Shaw-Videotron deal illustrates the Kafkaesque reasons why Canadians won't benefit from either increased facilities or service-based competition. The CB complains that Videotron would rely on a competitor to provide services.

  • LostDei TheLostDeiTy (@LostDei) reported

@Videotron Why is the Goddamn internet ALWAYS down. And even worse you always pretend like there is no problem. Zero transparency with your customers. I'm done with you guys after this contract.

  • Deadly_JSay BrushyHat (@Deadly_JSay) reported

@juycer @Videotron This happened to me when I was living in a place where all the places were piped through a single fiber and you could experience slowdowns at peak usage times. It really sucked tbh because nothing can be done and it's hard to blame them as you don't have proof. Network topology!

  • Ismatrak Ismael (@Ismatrak) reported

.@Bell just got a 500CAD bill for 5 days of travel, Wifi calling is a racket with you guys, never had this issue with @Videotron or my friend, who activated his exactly like me, with @Fidomobile. Vacation ruined like the Chichen Itza pyramid I went to see.

  • ljp0101 ljp0101 (@ljp0101) reported

@mgeist Rogers gets to cut unit costs by putting Shaw on its platform while they lose market share so it makes sense for them. Videotron is no longer hamstrung by having a regional network and high roaming fees that allow it to compete aggressively and in all of Canada.

@Videotron I can never verify my ID on twitter, and your chat site doesn't work for me, probably because I block ads/tracking at the DNS level. "Uncaught ReferenceError: genChat is not defined"
