So @Videotron sent a collection agency to collect $$ from my 84yr old with ALS for not returning his cablebox. The issue is that the tech who installed the box put a lock on it and we could not remove. I explained to videotron reps but they just want $$ #greedy

@mgeist Rogers gets to cut unit costs by putting Shaw on its platform while they lose market share so it makes sense for them. Videotron is no longer hamstrung by having a regional network and high roaming fees that allow it to compete aggressively and in all of Canada.

“Independent internet service providers… are… upset about @Rogers offering a sweetheart deal to @Videotron that could drive them out of business altogether… the arrangement smacks of anti-competitive behaviour. A legal challenge… is not just possible; it is most likely.”🤔

I don't like @Videotron anymore. I ordered three phones. Received two with new plans. My old contract is still in place, and their invoice is so complicated I can't tell what's what. Not the first time we've had problems, but other companies are the same. #sigh

In a nutshell, Rogers wants to give Videotron access to its national broadband network at sweetheart rates so it can get its merger with Shaw through. This illegal side deal will kill competition, including TekSavvy, and allow the big guys to fix wholesale access rates.

Videotron is saying it will bring prices down once it enters foreign territory. I’m currently paying $45 per month for 27 GB and unlimited calling from fido. Hey @PKP_Qc, you want my business? Make me a better offer!

Another key point: who believes that Rogers being able to pick a replacement for Shaw's Freedom Mobile, ie Videotron, and then do what it needs to help foster Videotron as a strong competitor? This is fantasy & fiction, paraphrase y'day's brutal ruling by the FCA.

@kaplanmyrth @TekSavvyBuzz He calls on @FP_Champagne to w/hold his decision on the spectrum license transfer to Videotron until the #CRTC rules on TekSavvy undue preference complaint. 2/

What happens to Shaw's wireless spectrum in the Rogers acquisition? How will Videotron maintain service for Freedom's customers if they lose it? Will it be through a roaming agreement with Rogers b/c that would be ridiculous Any insight? @peternowak @Bryson_M @AlsoKnownAs_AA
